Diana was a lonely girl when she was a little girl. when she was seven years old, she liked to spend her time with her friend's brother, Putera, since he was a baby.
They grow up together and be closed like best friends, brother and sister, and lovers. But because of the different background, they face difficulties to make their dreams come true.

8. She's Gone, Again!

One hour became hours and days and months, Diana was disappeared. Nobody knew where she was. Putera knew that Diana never come to her wedding. He was happy for a while since the wedding canceled; but when months were over, and he did not get any news from Diana, soon he was very depressed. For this time he could not help his sorrow. He was sick and hospitalized.

Sarah was sad but also angry with Diana, since her friend was coward and left everyone in the sadness, especially Putera. But after several months from her wedding, she and Andrew decided to move to Singapore.

It was early in the morning, when Sarah and Andrew arrived at Changi airport. They were in line when suddenly Sarah saw a pregnant woman stood at another line next to her. She could not believe whom she saw, she whispered to Andrew and her husband turned to see the woman.

“Diana?” said Andrew. Soon the pregnant woman turned to him. She got surprised when she saw Sarah and Andrew.

“Diana?” said Sarah. Diana was freezing for a while and then suddenly she turned back and walked fast left the line. Saw that, Sarah rushed to catch her. Andrew followed his wife.

“Diana! Stop!” shouted Sarah and pulled her friend’s hand soon she reached her.

“Leave me,” said Diana avoiding Sarah.

“Yeah – bastard! How could you just be disappeared in your wedding?” said Sarah forcing Diana to face her.

“It snot your business,” answered Diana angrily.

“Jesus! You’ve given hard time to your parents, fiancé and Putera. And how could you say it was your own business. Why you always like this, Diana?! Why?!” cried Sarah.

For a moment Diana was silent. They stared at each other.

“Now, you’re pregnant. Whose baby is it?” asked Sarah looking at Diana’s belly.

“You don’t need to know,” answered Diana lower.

“It’s Putera’s right,” said Sarah staring at Diana judging her. Diana did not say anything.

“Listen, Diana. If you love Putera why you must leave him. Stay by his side. Get married and live together happily.”

“I can’t.”

“Why can’t?”

“He can’t be mine.”

“Of course, he can. He loves you so much. He never loves any girl except you.”

“He should marry a Chinese woman one day.”

“Who says that? Putera?”

“You. You told me that I could not get marry him, since it’s a tradition in your family to get married only with your tribe.”

“It was, Diana. But now, everything has changed. You see, I have a foreign fiance.”

“You’re okay, since you’re a woman.”

“Diana, why you don’t believe me?”

“This is the result when I believed you.”

“Fine. I was wrong. I was only kid at the time. But, now we’ve grown up. You don’t need to believe my words, but, please... believe to Putera’s love. He loves you. Jesus, how to make you believe how much my brother’s love is for you. Even for a thousand years, he’ll still love you,” said Sarah in tears. “You don’t know how hard his life now when you left him again. He’s dying, Diana. He is being hospitalized. He has problem with his heart. Eight years ago, when you left him for the first time, he was very depressed. He was just a kid at the time, Diana, but, but, the doctor said his heart was weak.”

Diana stared at her friends freezing. Her eyes were red. She tried hard not to cry, tried hard not to believe to what Sarah said, but her heart was hurt. This was not the answer that she wanted from God.

“Please, don’t leave my brother, Diana. If you leave him, I will be so sorry because I let him be yours twenty years ago...” said Sarah in her sobbing. She fell on knees and held tide Diana’s leg. Not longer, Diana sobbed released her pain. Both of them cried in their own sorrow.
