The World Was Wide Enough

Hamilton fanfiction
This story is similar to how things really went, but a few of the couples are different. The story is also told from many people's perspectives.

Yellow for death because of war and duels. Also the Reynolds Pamphlet was a thing...

Hamilton's POV

I decided to drop out of college. I knew there was no way I could graduate in 2 years. I didn't have that kind of money. Now, I'm so ready to go join the army.

I went to go enlist today. I'm going to get sent to battle in a couple of weeks. I'm going to be under the command of a guy called General George Washington. I hope he's a cool guy and not someone who's super uptight and cranky all the time.

*A couple of weeks pass and Hamilton is now a full member of the army and on the field*

It was a fairly quiet day of battle, or so I was told since this is my first day. I didn't go through any training since there wasn't any time. As long as I knew how to shoot, I was fine.

I went to hang out with all of the guys that night. I thought it'd be nice to meet a few people.

When I walked in, I saw Aaron Burr! I kind of know him. I've at least had a conversation with him before. I'm going to go over there and talk to him!

"Hello Aaron Burr! Do you remember me? We talked a few weeks ago about you graduting so quickly. After that, I decided to drop out of college so I can go join the war. So now I'm here! So do you remember me?"

"Yes, you're the kid I gave my advice of talking less to. What's your name again?"

"My name is Alexander Hamilton! So can I talk with you guys?"

He gave the 3 other guys a look. They looked back at him like they wouldn't care.

"I suppose. Anyways, these are my friends Marquis de Lafayette, John Laurens, and Hercules Mulligan."

"Hi guys! It's really nice to meet you! I'm Alexander Hamilton. You can call me Alex if you want. Oh, so can you Burr, I just didn't mention that last time we met because we never got that far in our conversation."

I pulled up a chair and sat with them. The guy called Hercules Mulligan got me a drink.

We talked for a long time. I learned that Lafayette was from France and came to America to help because he doesn't like the king. I learned that Mulligan was a tailor but didn't really like this job. He said he joined the war because it opened up many more opportunities to explore. I found out that Burr was kind of famous around here since he graduated college in 2 years. I guess that that's like the only thing that had ever happened in his life because he didn't mention much else. And then there was Laurens. He looked like he'd be a pretty cool guy. He didn't talk to much for some reason. But when he did, he talked about how he was working to abolish slavery.

I think I'm going to be pretty good friends with these guys.
