The World Was Wide Enough

Hamilton fanfiction
This story is similar to how things really went, but a few of the couples are different. The story is also told from many people's perspectives.

Yellow for death because of war and duels. Also the Reynolds Pamphlet was a thing...

Hamilton's POV

We were back on the field fighting. Things weren't going to good for us. Then one day, I was called into General Washington's office.

When I walked in, Aaron Burr was there.

"Sir, you wanted to see me," I said as I walked in.

The room became stale and awkward. All three of us just looked at eachother.

"Have you met Burr," Washington asked me.

"Yes, sir, we keep meeting."

Burr glared at me. He was clearly not pleased to see me there. He finished up his conversation with the general so he could leave.

"As I was saying, I look forward too seeing your strategy play out," Burr said to Washington. He then turned around and walked out.

"Burr, close the door on your way out," Washigton called after Burr.

The door slammed close.

"Have I done something wrong, sir," I asked him.

"No, I called you here because our odds are beyond scary. Your reputation precedes you, but I have to laugh, how come no one can get you on their staff? You're a youg man of great renown, I know you stole British connons when we were still downtown. Nathaniel Green and Henry Knox wanted to hire you."

"To be their secretatry, I don't think so."

"Now why are you upset?"

"I'm not."

"It's alright you want to fight, you've got a hunger. I was just like you when I was younger. Head full of fantasies of dying like a martyr?"

"Dying is easy, young man, living is harder."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"I'm being honest. I'm working with a third of what our congress has promised. We are a powder keg about to explode. I need someone like you to lighten the load. So?"

"I am not throwing away my shot."
