The World Was Wide Enough

Hamilton fanfiction
This story is similar to how things really went, but a few of the couples are different. The story is also told from many people's perspectives.

Yellow for death because of war and duels. Also the Reynolds Pamphlet was a thing...

Hamilton's POV

I was at the Winter's Ball with some of my friends. I really wasn't looking for a girl, I was just there to have fun with my friends. Anyways, I had never really seen the Schuyler sisters. Everybody talks about how pretty they are. I wanted to see for myself what they looked like.

I was talking to Laurens in the corner of the room when he stopped talking and stared at the door.

"It's the Schuyler sisters," he said while pointing to the door. I turned around to see them. They were really pretty just like everybody said. I thought that I wouldn't mind of one of them decided to come introduce themselves to me.

The night continued on and I just stood in the corner of the room and talked to Laurens, Lafayette, Mulligan, and anybody else who stopped by. Burr hung out with us for a little bit, but then he never came back after he told us he was going to dance with some girl.

A while later, one of the Schuyler sisters approached me.

"Hi there," she said to me.

"Why hello to you to." I said as I kissed her hand. "What might your name be?"

"Angelica Schuyler. And yours?"

"Alexander Hamilton. If you'd like , though, you can just call me Alex. Most people call me Alex."

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Alex."

"It's a pleasure to meet you too."

My heart felt like it was going to beat right out of my chest. My boday started to feel warm inside. Was this love that I was feeling? It could be. I knew that I had feelings for this girl.

"So, Alex, my sister is over there and she really is in love with you. Like she's going crazy over there about you." I chuckled a little bit a peered over her shoulder to see her sister behind her. However there were 2 girls sitting at that table.

"Wait, which one?"

"The one in the blue dress."

I was glad she said the one in the blue dress. She was the prettiest out of all of them. I didn't know what would happen though, considering I already developed feelings for her sister.

"So can I take you over there to meet her?"

"Yeah, I'd love to meet her!"

I thought it was so cute that her sister came over to talk to me first. She must've been nervous trying to talk to me. Although, that's how I felt walking over to talk to her.

"This is my sister," Angelica said to me.

"My name is Elizabeth Schuyler. You can call me Eliza though. It's a pleasure to meet you," she said to me. She just looked absolutely adorable. My heart began to flutter.

"My name is Alexander Hamilton."

"Thank you for your service." I thought it was sweet that she acknowledged the fact that I was fighting for this country's freedom.

"If it takes fighting a war for us to meet, it will have been worth it," I said. That was the best line I could come up with in response. It's slightly cheesy.

"I'll leave you to it," Angelica said as she walked away.

Eliza and I talked for the rest of the night. For the next couple of weeks following, we exchanged letters. I then decided that I was going to ask for her father's blessing.

Not too long after the ball, we had dinner at her house with her family. While everyone was out in the living room, I was able to ask her father for his blessing. I was so nervous to ask. However, it turned out that there was nothing to worry about. When I asked, all he did in response was shake my hand and said "be true".

Shortly after, Eliza and I got married. That was the best day of my life.
