1. The impending storm

The clap of thunder rolled over the hills

And the humid air clung to my face

The first bolt of lightning lit the sky

The storm had began...

The rain pounded relentlessly down

The black sky spewing out it's contents

Great gusts of wind bend the trees

Out there, no animals dared venture

The clouds kept rolling in

As if it would never end

Consuming everything in it's path, it headed straight for me

And there was nowhere to run...
