“Look if it’s for your wife I can get you quality stones.’

“I’m not married, it’s for a girl.’

“If it’s just for a gift then I know someone who makes Diamante Jewellery. “ You wouldn’t know it from the real thing; except its half the price.’

“Okay sort me out a nice necklace and earrings to match.’

Sid took out his wallet and handed Dennis some cash then put it back into his jacket.

“When do you want it?’

“Bring them over on Friday night with the cases.’ I fly on Saturday morning.’ “I will have your cash waiting for you once you’ve delivered.’

The waiter brought over their lunch and Sid looked approvingly at it before picking up his knife and fork. Large grey mullet could be seen swimming around the marina as some young children were feeding them with bits of bread.

“Can’t you get out of it, tell them your sick or something; “I was going to take you to that beach that you wanted to visit then we could go somewhere nice for lunch.’

“I don’t know Sid; “I mean if all you want me for is to look after some apartments for you.’ “I’m sorry but I’m better than that.’

“Look Angela I’m sorry; I shouldn’t have asked you to look after those damned apartments. “ I never was any good where tact is concerned. Please forgive me and let’s start again what do you say?’

Angela’s mood suddenly changed; she knew that she had him.’

“Alright, but if you treat me like that again Sid we are through do you understand?’

“Why don’t you jump in a cab and come over I’m missing my honey bun here.’

“I’ll be over in half an hour.’ Angela Minty had the biggest smile on her face as she reapplied some lipstick and called a cab to come and pick her up.

“Hola senorita, where would you like to go; asked the middle aged cab driver politely.’

“Take me to the Tobago apartments please.’

The driver pulled away up the hill. He kept on staring at her through his rear view mirror. She was used to it and rested her hand bag on her knees so that he couldn’t
