Daddy's Good Girl

"Have you been a good girl?"

"Yes, Daddy."

6. Badass CEO is a Hardcore Softie

Donovan and I left the mall with bags upon bags of new clothes for him. He insisted that he didn't need that many, but I told him that he never knew when he was going to need something casual.

"Well, that was fun," he said, toting some bags to his town car.

I smiled up at him, caring bags as well. "Of course it was. Shopping is more fun than people realize. I don't know why guys hate it so much."

He laughed and walked toward the trunk his driver popped. The driver got out and came over to me.

"I can get those, miss," he said. His voice was heavily accented with what sounded like Romanian.

I shook my head politely and smiled. "No, I have it. Thank you."

He smiled at me and held out his hands. "Miss, I insist. I am paid to do this.

"He is," Donovan said from the trunk.

I sighed and handed over the bag. "Thank you, sir."

"Of course, miss," he said before going to the trunk and passing Donovan, who was walking back my way.

I smirked up at him with crossed arms. "So how about that In N Out Burger?"

His face scrunched. "Do we have to? I mean, it's sounds greasy."

I rolled my eyes playfully. "Oh, big bad businessman can't handle a few calories."

He rolled his eyes, and I laughed.

"I actually care what I put into my body. Unlike some people," he said giving me a pointed look.

I gasped. "Excuse me, sir? I resent that!"

He laughed and flung an arm over my shoulder and began walking me to my car. "I'll meet you there?"

I laughed, arm around his waist. "Yeah. Meet you there. It's the one on Restaurant Row."

I felt him nod. We were at my car all too quickly, and I didn't want to say goodbye just yet. I knew I was going to be seeing him shortly, but his presence was definitely going to be missed.

I fished the keys out of pocket and unlocked the car with the remote. Donovan removed his arm and placed his hands on my waist. I smiled up at him.

"Kiss for my troubles?" he said.

My brows furrowed. "What troubles? You said so yourself that you had a good time."

He rolled his eyes. "Just kiss me."

He pressed his lips against mine, which caused me to smile. I kissed his lips back firmly. He began to move his lips against mine, and a moan slipped out. He chuckled, and I slapped his arm softly.

After a few more seconds of losing oxygen and kissing, I pulled away, but not before leaving one last peck.

God, his lips were so addictive. I just wanted more, and from the look in his eyes, he wanted more, too.

So I placed another peck on his lips. And another. And another, which left us both in a fit of laughter.

I officially pulled away and reached for my door handle. I gave a weak wave.

"See you in a bit."

"Can I get two Double Doubles, one with no tomatoes, grilled onions, and extra special sauce, one order of fries, uhm, a vanilla shake, and what do you want to drink?" I asked Donovan. I looked behind me and saw him gazing at the menu.

"Lame!" I said before turning back to the waiter. "One water and some secret sauce."

He read us the total, and I reached for my wallet.

"Amelia, I can pay," Donovan spoke.

I ignored him and paid the cashier. I got my change and ticket and waited for the drinks.

"You should have let me pay," Donovan said with a pointed look.

"Why? I was perfectly capable of paying it myself. Plus you spent enough money at the mall today. This one's on me," I said.

There was something is his that I couldn't pin point, but I kind of liked it, whatever it was.

The cashier gave us our drinks, and we found a booth to sit at.

I sipped on my shake across from Donovan, who was sipping on his water. He was being a bit quiet, so I tried to spark a conversation.

"So!" I began. "What's it like being such a big time CEO?"

His gaze shifted over to me. "Well, basically I get to boss people around all day, but it's not just that. I love what I do as the boss. It's amazing working for such a strong company. It's honestly like a machine because I'm working so closely with the people who are helping my business grow, because they're intelligent and good at what they do.

"Actually, now that I think of it, one of my colleagues, Robert Stern, asked me to be a groomsmen at his wedding. Beautiful. He studied economics at the University of Chicago. He's extremely sharp in what his area which is why I keep him around."

I gazed him as he continued to tell me about his work, until the cashier called out ticket. I hopped up and went to the counter.

"Thanks," I said and walked away.

I made it back to the booth where Donovan had busied himself with his cellphone.

I smirked. "Miss me?"

He looked up with a smirk of his own. "Not even."

I glared at him playfully as I sat down. "Liar."

He laughed and reached for a burger. I sat there looking at him, chin resting on my hands in anticipation.

He raised the burger to his mouth and paused because he saw me waiting anxiously. He raised an amused brow.

"May I help you?" he asked.

"Nope, now eat," I answered.

He gave me a small scoff before biting into the best burger on earth--other than a Whopper.

My eyes focused in on his as they widened. I smirked.

"Whoa," I heard him mumble through the food.

"Good, right?"

He nodded and swallowed.

"That was... really good."

"I know right?"

I grabbed my burger and began eating, and that was kind of how our little first date went. No, it wasn't at a five-star restaurant, which was probably what he wanted, but he seemed to be comfortable here. He seemed to be comfortable everywhere actually.

Maybe it was the businessman thing and the "knowing how to command a room." I don't know, but I liked it.

I'd told him about my kidnapping, not everything, but just the bigger parts. He had such an angry reaction.

I didn't realize he'd act in such a way, but I guess he just didn't want me hurt? Which was kind of sweet.

We'd finally finished our food and were walking to my car.

He'd put his hand in mine, and I definitely let him. It wasn't a long way to my car, but I wanted to cherish the adorable movie like moment we had going.

"So when will I see you again?" he'd asked.

I shrugged. "When do you want to see me again?"

"To be quite honest," he began, "I'd like to see you as much as possible."

Yikes. Okay...?

"Uhm..." I began trying to scramble some words to say, but I didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry, Amelia. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I was just answering your question," he said.

"No, no. I'm sorry. I have this habit of speaking aloud by accident. I'd like to see more of you, too, Donovan, but I'm just gonna need a little time. I actually kind of just got out of a relationship, remember?"

"Oh, right," he said putting a hand to his head. "I'm sorry. I'm rushing things aren't I?"

"Just a lil, but it's fine. Really. You so different from Josh, which is amazing. I feel like I don't have hold myself with you like I did with him."

We stopped at my car, and I leaned against it, looking up at this gorgeous man whose thumb made circles on my hand.

"Amelia, you wouldn't ever have to hold back with me. If I could have you, I'd want all of you, the good, the bad, and the never ugly," he said touching my chin.

I laughed at his cheesiness, which he gladly returned.

I was staring into those beautiful green eyes of his that were going to be the death of me. I stood on my toes and placed a hand on his neck. Pressing my lips against his, I took my other hand from his and ran it through his hair.

He seemed a little caught off guard, but he gathered himself and kissed me back. His full lips worked magic against mine, and I moaned softly.

He tastes like fries and burgers, which was kind of gross but his lips were so enamoring. I slipped my tongue out a little, touching his, and he opened gladly. He quickly gained dominance over the kiss, which I was more than willing to give up.

His hand had made its way to my waist where he pulled me to his chest tightly, while the other made its way to my butt where it squeezed gently.

A louder moan passed my lips, and one slipped from his.

God, he was amazing.

But then I remembered, we were making out all hot 'n heavy in an In N Out parking lot.

So I nipped his lip, and a noise left Donovan's mouth that sounded kind of like a growl; then I pulled away.

Looking at him, he looked very confused. So I laughed. I leaned to his ear.

"We're in a parking lot," I whispered.

He pulled away. "And?"

He kissed me again, and I laughed and pulled away again.

"I have to go home, Donovan," I said putting my hand on his chest.

"Amelia," he whined.

Damn, I must be good to have a grown man whining for me.

"I do. I'll see you in a couple of days," I said, grabbing my keys.

"Why a couple? Why not tomorrow?" he asked putting his hands in his slacks.

I unlocked my door and sat down. "I have a back to school party I'm going to. I mean you're welcome to come, but I don't think that's your 'scene.'"

He rolled his eyes. "Fine, whatever."

I furrowed my brows. "Are getting mad at me?"

He furrowed his brows. "No, why would I be mad?"

I shrugged. "I don't know, but I'm gonna go home now. I'll talk to you later."

"Yeah, bye."

Okay well that was a bit of a somber ending to this chapter. Also I am so sorry for the late update. School just started, so I've been busy with that, and I just couldn't find the motivation.

I hate that the motivation I found was based on personal experience. But anyway!
