This is a dark story of obsession and murder. (& a lot of drama)

From the very first second James laid eyes upon Rebecca, he knew he had to have her. She's stuck in an unhappy place, and he's just the person to set her free.
But in the end, what will James have done to achieve his beloved Rebecca? Does she really know James the way she thinks she does? Or is he something she never expected? Will this not so innocent affair end with deadly consequences?
Getting James into her bed wasn't hard, it's getting rid of him that's the hard part.

3. Chapter Three

call John's hotel room, the line rings several times before I get an answer.

"Hello," a woman's soft, sleepy voice is on the other end.

I slam the phone down, then push it off of the table. "That son of a bitch!"

I recoil on the couch, tucking my arms around my legs. I should have known. He's been taking so many trips, he knit-picks everything I do, I should have seen this. I shift to my other side before finally just getting up, I pull my hair back behind my ears as I stare across the street at James home.

Rain pounds down outside. Thunder cracks in the distance, lightning streaks across the dull gray skies. But I don't care, I fasten my jacket and head straight out the door, my heart pounds as I cross the street in the brutal rain. My hair starts to mat against the back of my neck, strains stick to my cheeks.

I push on through the falling rain, I make my way to the back door of James house, I can't risk letting the neighbors see me. The gossip would never end if the were to see me, it is very late after all.

I lightly tap the glass window of the back door, his white house looms over me, making me feel smaller than I am, much in the way he does. I hit the window a little harder, several seconds pass without a sound on the other side. I'm starting to lose my courage, maybe I shouldn't have done this.

The door suddenly swings open, he looks half asleep and surprised. He stood shirtless, but still in a pair of ripped jeans. I look up at him meekly, through the rain still falling on me, running down my face and eyes. I must be an awful sight like this.

"Rebecca?" He takes my hand and pulls me inside, "Oh my God, you're a sopping mess."

I pull my jacket off, he takes it, tosses it onto a chair.

"Kiss me" I instruct him, not something I'm used to doing, nor ever dreamed I would say. I don't believe he had ever had a woman insist that he kiss them, but he does as I request without missing a beat.

Rain still runs down my clothes and flesh, it drips onto the floor causing a small puddle to form around me. He backs me against the wall as he kisses me, his body is warm making me realize how cold the rain actually was. Our kiss is a hungry one when it ends he just looks down at me for a few seconds. This beautiful man towers over me, I feel all but helpless in his presence.

Pushing me back against the wall, he lifts me off the floor. He kisses me again, the thrill of his touch sends shivers down my spine. He unbuttons my wet blouse, with his lips he grazes my neck with soft kisses, teasing my flesh, filling me with desire for him.

"Take me, I'm yours." I breathe into his ear.

How was I to have known this night of passion would result in something deadly.
