Speak of the Devil and he shall appear.
Through a cursed mirror, Andi makes a deal with the Devil, literally. And her soul was the asking price, but now she'd do anything not to have to pay the cost.
But the Devil is cunning, and Andi may not have any choice in the matter. She summoned him. Now she doesn't know how to get rid of him.
Then shortly after she meets a charming stranger that doesn't stay a stranger for long;
"Party's pretty boring, huh?"
"Yeah" I smile not really sure how to respond to a mysterious man I've never even seen before. I hold out my hand, "I'm Andi, and you are?" "Leviathan." He takes my hand in his and instead of shaking it, he does something no one has ever done before, he lightly places his lips to the back of my hand for a brief kiss. His kiss is so soft and gentle I barely feel it.
"Like...
..the beast?" he cut's me off. His grin widens, "Yes." His eyes twinkle with a strange look, "In fact, my name is Leviathan Diablo."

9. Chapter Five: The Party

(Two Weeks later)

"But, you are coming to my party right."

I plop down onto my bed, "Yeah, of course, Annabelle." I grip my cell phone tightly as relax into the soft bed.  "What kind of friend misses her best friend's celebration party?"

She laughs, "Well, it's something to celebrate is it not? I mean it's not every day a miracle happens."

Yes, a miracle. I told no one about my deal, about the mirror, or even about the brand on my back. Nothing has happened since that night two weeks ago, but I know he will be back.

*~*~*~*

The Loud music explodes over the speakers. Half of the people here I know by name only, and there are a few that I don't even know their names. Friends invited friends who invited friends and so on it goes. This makes it extremely loud and not only that but crowded as well.

Now, I like people. I love my family and friends and love to spend time with them. I like to go to a party every now and then, but this is so loud and so crowded. I don't really like being in a crowd of people I don't know.

I make my way through the throng of people to the back of the room. Getting pushed and bumped against every step of the way. I spy the terrace, I look around before ducking out onto it. Good, I'm all alone. I let the tension start to melt away in the cool breeze of the night, I rest my hands on top of the railing.

"Well, hello gorgeous."

I let out a pathetic squeak of a scream. I turn to see a tall, thin man in a dark suit standing there just at the end where shadows meet the light from the party inside.

"Oh," I let a relieved breath, "You startled me."

"I'm sorry, it certainly wasn't my intention to scare someone as beautiful as you."

God, he's a charming as he is handsome.

I roll my eyes, "Uh huh, let me guess, I'm lucky lady number three you've approached this night."

"Ouch!" He smirks as he leans closer to my ear, "Only number two actually."

I laugh, "Not only is the man handsome, he's a comedian too." I look up, yes up, at him, "Holy hell, you're a tall one, aren't you?!"

He just smiles then takes a sip of the drink in his hand, "Party's pretty boring, huh?"

"Yeah," I smile not really sure how to respond to a mysterious man I've never even seen before. I hold out my hand, "I'm Andi, and you are?"

"Leviathan." He takes my hand and instead of shaking it, he lightly places his lips to the back of my hand for a brief kiss.

"Like...

..the beast?" he cut's me off. His grin widens, "Yes." His eyes twinkle with a strange look, "In fact, my name is Leviathan Diablo."

His blue eyes dazzle with an unexplainable excitement. I can't help but let my eyes linger on him for a few moments longer than I should. He has high cheekbones and his jawline is sharp. A crop of thick, dark black hair tops his head.

I point inside, "I don't care much for crowds."

"Neither do I." He brings the glass in his hand to his lips and takes another sip of his drink. "Well, Miss Styxx, I hope to bump into you again sometime soon."

I watch as he disappears from my view. After hesitating for a moment, I decide to follow him inside. I step back through the doorway of the terrace. I look around. How odd. I had only lost sight of him for a moment, now he's nowhere to be found.

"Okay, Andi. Who was he?" I heard an excited voice in my ear.

I turn to see Lavinia, Annabelle's sister, just a couple inches behind me. "Who?" I ask her.

"Oh, you know." She smiles, "The good looking, tall, stranger you were talking to on the terrace." She get's a mischievous look on her face, then adds "All alone."

"I wish I knew," I reply solemnly. "Well, did you even get his name or number?" she asks quickly.

"His name's Leviathan, that's all I know."
