There once was a girl. This girl lived on a remote island amidst a sea that was filled with her sorrowful tears. Every day, the sun would rise and then set. The girl would watch this wonder of nature. She would see the colors mingling with the clouds and wish that one day, she would be able to ascend into the heavens too.

She wanted what the colors had.

She would never get what the colors had.

You see, the girl who watched the sky and saw the truth wasn't perfect. In fact, she was far from it.

At sunrise, she would tread down the rocky coast and venture up to the edge of the water and gaze at her reflection. She would see the same ripped, overused canvas every time. She would see those hollow, empty orbs gazing back at her. To her, they had lost their spark eons ago.

But she managed to present a facade to others. Not that there were many that saw her in the first place. But these people believed that well, maybe everything was just alright. They didn't know. They didn't know the truth that she saw in the skies. They couldn't feel her pain, her despair, her utter and complete misery. They were the ones who had unknowingly painted upon her canvas, to the point at which its seams couldn't withstand any more stress.

Her canvas had been torn when her eyes lost their spark.

That was when the girl knew, there was no going back. She was sinking into an endless pit of oblivion. She was falling. Away from the colors. Away from those skies and the heavens that she dreamed she could touch someday.

She was falling.

And she wouldn't ever be able to make her way back up.
