The New Generation

We all know and love our Marauders! So, I decided to write this! Be warned, it's going to be terrible...but anyways, let's get on with it!
Harry James Potter, Audrey Jade Black, Vivian Penelope Lupin, and Lucas Peter Pettigrew are the only known descendants of our beloved Marauders. But, they don't exactly know that, do they?

2. Chapter 2

A/N: I'm not going to do Harry's POV as much as the other three. Just thought I should tell y'all this...

Audrey's POV

I was about to go to bed, after my siblings had completely crushed me at Quidditch. Another thing that made me the outcast of the family, was that I SUCKED at Quidditch.

Just as I was going to go up the stairs, a sharp whisper from my mum made me curious. My mum and dad were in the kitchen, having an argument with whispers. More like, whisper-shouts. I sat down on the floor, and listened through the barely open door.

"Audrey is only thirteen! She doesn't need to know this!" mum hissed at my dad.

"Molly, she's very responsible and mature! She already knows that she's adopted, so why not tell her?"

"The truth will scare her, Arthur!"

"I say we tell her, and Harry!"

"Goodness, no! Are you out of your mind?! They'll both be terrified!"

"Molly! They've grown! They've gotten older! Audrey isn't the baby we took in all those years ago anymore! And even Harry acts older than he did last year!"

There was a pause of silence. I was very anxious. I just had to know what in the world they were talking about.

"Arthur, we can't tell Harry that Sirius Black is on the loose to hunt him down and to kill him! We can't tell Audrey that...that she's Sirius Black's...daughter!" she said slowly, and sadly.

"You're right," dad said with a sigh.

Before I could do anything about it, they were coming out the door I was listening by. I stood up very quickly. They looked startled, angry, and sad, as mum said, "Audrey? What're you doing? What've you heard?"

Tears stung my eyes, in disbelief, as I grumbled, "Enough. That's what I've heard. Enough."

Before they could stop me, I was up the stairs and in the bedroom I shared with Ginny. When I got in, I stormed over to my bed and punched my pillow several times, letting out my anger.

How could they not tell me something like that sooner?! I was the daughter of mass murderer, Sirius Black! No wonder I was adopted. When he went to Azkaban, I was probably orphaned. And who knew who or where my mother was? He probably killed her too...

And he was after Harry! Harry was my classmate, and one of my friends! I couldn't let my psychotic father kill him!

"Audrey? Are you alright?" Ginny's voice sounded from across the room.

"I'm fine," I said impatiently.

Without another word, she climbed into her bed, and laid down. Sighing, I turned off the light and got into my own bed.

Vivian's POV

My dad was sitting on our couch, looking very weak and sad. He had a new, very visible scar. I wanted to help him. I walked over to him and sat down.

"Dad, is there anything I could do to help you?" I asked him.

He gave me a small smile, then said, "I appreciate it, Vivi. I really do. There's just nothing you could do."

"Like, anything small? Anything?"

He made a face that made him look very deep in thought. After a moment or so, his face lit up excitedly and kind of mischievously.

"What?" I said with a smile.

He didn't say anything, but he stood up and walked to the back door and walked outside. Naturally, I followed him. He walked to our garden. Was I supposed to weed, or something?

He took a pair of shears and clipped off a leaf from one of the Mandrakes. I knew at once what he wanted me to do.

"You're joking, right?" I said, in shock

He held up the leaf, and walked up to me again.

"Vivi, I think it's time you became an Animagus," he said happily.

"Dad, don't I have to register myself?" I asked him.

"Well, yes, but remember when I told you about friends when I was at Hogwarts?"

"Yes...Marauders, Prongs, werewolf, Whomping Willow, Animagus, heard all of it. You tell me almost everyday."

"My friends were Animagi, and no one found out, and no one has yet, even."

"But dad? If you don't register, you can go to Azkaban, right?"

"Yes. That's why, if somebody ever finds out and reports you, I'll take the responsibility."

"No! You won't!"

"Oh, and you will?"

I didn't have anything to say back, so I reluctantly took the leaf and put it in my mouth. Ugh. I didn't really like the taste of it.

"'Ow long am I supposed to keep dis in my mouf?" I said, with the leaf keeping me from speaking correctly.

"Er...a month..." he chuckled.

"A month? A month?!" I said angrily.

"Yes. Please do it. For me, your father?"

He was obviously trying to make me feel bad. It was working. I rolled my eyes playfully, and nodded.

"Thanks, Vivi," he said, going back inside.

I followed him in, thinking, "This is going to be a long month. It'll be worth it."

Lucas's POV

Boredom. I was used to it. I wasn't allowed to do the same things the other kids were allowed to. I was locked up in my room everyday, with my meals shoved in through a cat flap. I didn't care. At least I was away from the two old hags.

I had my Hogwarts trunk packed up, in case they decided to kick me out or something. I wanted to go back to Hogwarts, but I still had about a month.

I could hear below me, all the fun the other kids were having. I used to be allowed to have that kind of fun, but ever since a Ministry official came knocking at the door, they abused me. I had scars and bruises to prove it.

I laid on my bed, in my freezing cold room. I tried to get warm in the thin blankets, but it was hopeless. It was dark in there. I didn't even bother to turn on the light. I liked being in the dark. To my surprise, the door unlocked and opened, and one of the girls walked in. Her name was Tina. I used to kinda have a crush on her, until I was completely isolated from her the other kids. She looked a lot different than I remembered her. She looked a lot older, and very beautiful.

"Lucas, Poppy and Killian want to talk to you," she said, with her sweet voice.

Snapping out of my trance, I replied, "Oh, yeah. Okay."

She left, and I sighed and walked out, and downstairs. It was really weird being out of the room. It was really warm, and I felt better. I sighed, and walked into the living room, where Poppy and Killian, the caretakers, sat looking as old and mean as always. They were sisters, though they looked nothing alike. They both had scowl wrinkles on their faces, making them look incredibly grumpy. Accurate.

I stood in front of them, looking at my feet.

"Y-yes?" I asked them, timidly.

"Pettigrew, we've had ENOUGH of you!" Killian screeched at me.

"You're leaving! We don't need you, or any of your nonsense!" Poppy added.

"I-I-I'm leaving? But where am I going?" I asked, worriedly.

"We don't care! You aren't staying here!" Poppy yelled.

"You can't just dump me on the street!" I protested.

Killian took a swipe at my face, and struck me with such force that I nearly fell over.

"Get out!" they roared at the same time.

Not saying another word, I hurried upstairs and into the cold bedroom. I grabbed my trunk, that was already packed, and took a look at the bedroom.

It'd been where I'd spent most of my life. I grew up here. I didn't really care as much as I thought I was going to, so I pulled my trunk out of the room, and down the stairs. I hadn't realized, I was being followed. I turned to see Tina standing behind me.

"What's going on, Lucas?" she asked me.

"They're kicking me out," I shrugged.

"Why? Don't they know that's child endangerment?"

"Yep. They couldn't care less about me."

"I'll come with you."

"No. I'm just going back to where I usually go every September."

"Why can't I go there too?"

"I probably should stay, anyway. Well, bye Lucas."

She walked upstairs and into her own bedroom. As for me, I wheeled my trunk out the door and into the street. At least I was free from that torture chamber.
