1. Only Death Can Do Us Apart.

Cold, wind, tears;

That’s all I feel

Snow, Ice, Death;

That’s all I see.

You weren’t supposed to leave me,

But you still did.

They said you’d be fine, but you weren’t.

You left school early to “go home cause you didn’t feel well”,

I believed you.

Sad.

The next week you weren’t in school.

I texted you, you answered.

I was frightened by your answer.

Nurse.

I went home “sick” like you did,

I needed to see you.

They let me in, there you were.

Happy.

I was excited to see you.

Different.

You didn’t have any hair left.

When I noticed I stopped,

Stared, and started to cry.

No.

I stayed, I wanted to see you.

They said you had a month left, not too bad.

Gone?

The next week at school you still weren’t there.

I texted you, no answer. I called you, still no answer.

Run.

I ran home instead of to school. I cried, cried in my room all day long.

Death.

Your mom texted.

Told me you didn’t make it.

Cold.

You looked cold in that small, wood coffin.

I stayed for a minute, I couldn’t take the sight,

The sight of your cold dead body laying there.

Love.

I will always love you.

I will never forget you.
