Grasping the Sky

Humans are destined to die someday, to be inanimate and lifeless where we have no experience whatsoever with these type of topics. Before any of these, what would we like to do? Simply wait our days of departing? Or choose to fully enjoy our life? Humans are born with natural talents that helps and sometimes guarantee survival based on their usefulness. However, this tale is about those who do not have them.

11. The Event

"How did it come to this?" I wondered. The sky was dark, not from its cycle, but from the ashes of the explosives and unending fire. I could clearly hear sound of death from people around me, most who are injured from the assault - no, a one sided slaughter. My entire body was barely standing, it had countless amounts of wounds everywhere. My heart was hot, as if it could melt my entire body at any moment, my eyes were hot, but it also had different type of itchy pain, and I understood that the next time I lose even the slightest of my conscious, that would be the end of my life. Although I wanted to stop the emerging soldiers across my eyesight, my fingers and arms were completely broken, leaving me completely useless. "I forfeit," I said before I went to sleep, maybe an eternal one. Lets watch event again.

<Five Hours Ago>

"We are finally here," H was excited. "If we can finally manage to be accepted by this place, we can live a better life up there!" B replied. We looked across the sky, the floating land known as Upper World became less distant from us. During our journey, we have meet countless of enemies, mostly from the crime organization, but we were able to arrive at the Retry Center. Retry Center is for people who gained useful ability to get a retry in order to go to the Upper World. H had no problem with entering, but I knew that B had problem with entering with her well known face. It required us great time to change our hairstyles and cloths just to pass the security. We entered the bridge where the administrators carefully examined the ability of the individuals who attempted for retry. "You failed," one of the administrators spoke, and it wasn't pleasant as we didn't want to hear these type of response when we just got here. "Next, H, B, and N?" It was our turn sooner that what I expected. H began to emit invisible force known as aura, and by condensing it, it materialized into sharp, bullet-like item and it easily pierced the metal that was prepared for physical testing section. What was more impressive was the fact that it didn't end there, but the piercing item rotated as if it was a drill - maybe a chainsaw? The chainsaw began to easily cut the metal plate without much difficulty, it was unbelievable as many couldn't see through the invisible condensation.
