My English Teacher

I storm into the class a little out of breath.

"I'm sorry I'm late but I--" I stop. Everything stops. Except my heart. It keeps beating faster and faster but at the same time it sinks. From the look in his eyes I can see he feels the same way. He coughs trying to get back to reality, the one thing I didn't want to happen.

"Well miss uhm Green, I'm Mr Hemmings and.." Please don't let this be true. Please don't say it.

"I'll be your English teacher for this year."

/// A Luke Hemmings fanfiction

10. Chapter 10

I said it, but I don’t feel relief. I don’t feel like I can go on now. All I feel is pain.

It was unprofessional, but who cares. Well I do, because I don’t want to lose my job. But there are so much more thing I want. I want to stroke her cheek. I want to look in her beautiful green eyes filled with grey sparkles, run my hand through her soft, dark brown hair. I want to smell her delicious perfume and what I want the most is to be able to press my lips against her soft pink ones.

Although I want that so bad, I am afraid. Afraid of everything. What might happen if I do, or if someone discovers.

I looked at my watch and saw it was still 15 minutes before the bell would ring and I could get home. I said to the students they could make a few exercises and if they didn’t make them now, it would be homework, so most of them made them now. 15 minutes went by and the bell rang, giving me the amazing feeling of being able to go to my more amazing sofa or even better bed. After all the students left I packed my stuff, walked out and locked the door. I turned around and made my way to the exit.

“Luke!” A deep rough voice called my name for me to turn around.

“George? What can I do for you?” I asked him.

“Well, normaly I have to keep out for the ones who are in detention but my wife planned an unexpected date for me, so I didn’t know until now and I wanted to ask you if you wanted to stay just an hour longer to keep an eye on them.” He said apologizing a couple time. I hesitated a moment, wanting my sofa so badly, but I said it was fine because I could do something to help that man. He is the one who helps me out when I have problems with teaching or a rough student, so I was happy to do him a favor. He thanked me several times before leaving the building. I turned around again now heading toward the detention classroom. The moment I walked in I saw an empty front row so I assumed there wouldn’t be that many students. I looked around while walking to the desk and I saw just one of them. It was her, her green eyes caught me off guard, but the little voice inside my head saying I shouldn’t brought me back.

“Miss Green” I placed my bag on the floor with the weird feeling of calling her miss Green. It just doesn’t feel right.

“Are you the only one?” I asked her.

“No. I mean yes.” I looked up at her words and hold in every laugh I wanted to make, but that one little smirk just escaped from the prison in my mouth.

“Not a good liar, huh?”

“Clearly not.”

“They skipped?” I already knew the answer on my question but I just had to ask. Maybe just because I wanted to talk to her or maybe because I wanted to see that adorable panick attack of hers when she noticed she said something she shouldn’t have.

“Probably.” I saw it in her eyes, the panic, the war in her head and somehow I enjoyed looking at it.

“Hmh” I hummed lost in my thoughts, but then I realized where we were.

“So what have you done?”

“Nothing.” Again denying everything and I just listened to every excuse she made, taking every opportunity to say the opposite. Until one moment she gave in and just that made me laugh causing her to do the same. I looked at her and enjoyed the sound of it, but then again that stupid little voice came creeping in, ruining the moment. I cleared my throat and stared at my laptop again. Minutes went by and from time to time I looked at her. She seemed to sleep or just stare outside, but I didn’t care because she was so peaceful. Beautiful.

After one hour, I did nothing, my paperwork was still there because I couldn’t concentrate. She does something to me nobody ever did and I can’t explain why.

“You can leave. Detention is over.” I said while gathering my stuff. After that I leaned against the front of the desk and watched every move she made. She placed her papers in the right order, although she didn’t even look at them. And then there was one moment. I couldn’t hold myself. She was angry at her hair for falling over her shoulder. She tugged it behind her ear and now I could see the half of her face fully. It was just a little gesture but it did something to me. She putted everything in her purse and without noticing she bit her bottom lip. Anyone could do that but when she did that, I just snapped.

“Fuck the rules.” I walked straight at her and I caught her off guard by saying those words. She mumbled something but I didn’t even let her finish her words. I cupped her face in my hands and pressed my lips on hers. I thought about this moment, several times, but nothing of my expectations could describe the feeling that was running through my heart right now. I let go realizing what I just did and what happened the last time I did. I brushed her cheek for a second before taking a few steps back. I whispered I was sorry and turned around, but she grabbed my hand and spun me around again.

“I’m not.” Where the most amazing words I heard before I felt her soft lips back on mine. She was so close to me I could smell her perfume. Flowers with a little stronger touch. I could strike my hand through her hand and brush her cheek. I could kiss those precious loving little pillows.

“Luke” She whispered with closed eyes. “What are we actually doing?”

“I’m doing something I wanted to from the moment you spilled your drink all over me.” That was the truth. I did. No it isn’t the truth. The truth is that she captured me the moment I walked into that shop. The moment I saw her being clumsy, hurried, but still as friendly as she could be. The moment I saw her walking so sexy on her high heels with a ripped skinny jeans and a casual blouse. And then I really saw her when she bumped into me. Gorgeous.

“I mean what are we doing?” She whispered again.

“Breaking all the rules.” I said while my eyes were still closed.

“Can you break them again?” She whispered these words in my ear and there was this little shiver running down my spine. No one ever did this to me. Normally I was the one who said sexy things, but I just liked that more about her. As answer to her words I kissed her neck and bit her a little, making a soft moan escape her mouth. If her words were sexy than that sound was indescribable. I looked straight in her eyes and saw different kind of emotions. Embarassment was the one who was ruling now and to make clear she didn’t had to feel that way I kissed her softly and passionate. She immediately answered and every second in this moment was perfect.

All of a sudden we heard footsteps and keys jingle. Our heads shot at the same time at the door then back to each other. I saw panic in her eyes, but I tried to tell her with my look that it was going to be okay. I nodded toward the door and then to her stuff. I guessed she understood what I was trying to tell her because she quietly jumped of the table and grabbed her purse and jacket. I took her hand and led her to the front so I could take my stuff. After I did I walked to the door and heard if someone was coming. When I didn’t hear anything I looked behind the corner, I saw an empty hall so I pulled her with me. I started running through the halls. First left then right and then I saw the exit. I rapidly looked behind me and saw a face filled with excitement, I focused back to the vision in front of me, but I couldn’t stop smiling. I pushed against the door to the outside world and it flew open. We both walked out and wanted to take her to my car but she pulled on my arm for me to turn around. She let go of my arm and swung her arms around my neck before kissing me again. I couldn’t help but I smiled against her lips. She pulled away and stared in my eyes with a huge smirk on her face.

“I just felt like doing that.” She said before getting lost in the parking lot searching for my car. I just stood there without words. What that woman does to me.

I can’t explain.
