Break On Me

"Maybe it's not about the happy ending.. Maybe it's about the story."

Sometimes it’s hard to accept what is, and it’s hard to go along with something even though you know you could do better.. But how come it’s so easy to slip up? So easy to say the wrong thing, use the wrong words, or even make the wrong moves? Sometimes we just all need to break.. in more ways than just mentally. I want you to know, that no matter what, I will always be here for you.. whether you like it or not, if you want me here or if you want me to live.. If you love me, or if you hate.. You can always break on me baby.

We loose ourselves in the things we love, we find ourselves there too..

59. Chapter 058

The hotel room was almost completely silent – the faint sound of cartoons playing in the living room as Katie sleep on the couch was the only noise I could hear. She’s been asleep for nearly an hour, it’s a good nap for sure. I open the door leading to the bedroom and I find Emmy just like she was half an hour ago, laying on the bed on her side. She’s not asleep, but she’s not all the way awake either.
“Em.. darling?” I say as I sit on the edge of the bed, just a few inches from her. She makes a humming sound as if she was answering me, so I decided to take it as the reply and continue to say what I had to say to her.
“How about we go get dinner, before it gets too late?’’ I suggest as I gently place my hand on her thigh. She flinches a little at the sudden touch against her bare skin.
She lets out a heavy sigh and I look over my shoulder at her. Those beautiful blue eyes met mine and she gave me a slight half smile, and just a light nod in response.
Emmy decided not to go with her sister today – they both agreed to meet another time instead. I think the pregnancy is getting to Emmy, the morning sickness and the bad feelings. I wish I could take it away, but I can’t. It’s just what happens when you’re pregnant, at least I assume.
“Put some clothes on and I’ll go wake up the baby.” I say as I stand.
“Harry.’’ Emmy chirps my name as I start the distance towards the door. I stop and turn on my heel to face her again.
“Yeah baby?” I ask, raising my eyebrows at her. She lets out a huff as she sits up on the bed, throwing her legs over the side.
“Can.. can you give me something?’’ She asks, her cheeks a little flustered as she stands up, her eyes staring into mine the entire time.
“Anything Emmy. What do you need?’’ I say, concerned on what exactly it was she needed. I hope she isn’t feeling bad and needs some medicine. I hope she’s feeling okay..
“A kiss. Please.’’ She mumbles out as she takes a few steps towards me. A smile comes to my face as I complete the space between us and place my hand on her waist, just to keep a good hold of her.
I lean down and firmly place my lips on hers. I know she likes just pecks so I don’t push it too far. She smiles against my lips and I honestly can’t resist to do the same to hers as well.

“Do I look okay, Harry?” Emmy asks as I sit Katie in the back seat of my rental car. I begin to strap her into the car seat, her eyes slowly shutting and opening back up – fighting her sleep.
“Yes honey, you look fine. Relax.’’ I assure her as I give her a glance before finishing up buckling Katie in her seat. I press my lips against her forehead to give her a kiss.
“Why are you so concerned about the way you dressed?’’ I ask as I shut the back door and sit down in the driver’s seat. I put my seat belt on and adjust the seat before shutting the door.
“I just don’t want to go anywhere with you looking.. foolish, you know.’’ She mumbles back to me.
“What does the fact that you’ll be going anywhere with me have to do with what you think about yourself?’’ I ask, looking over at her before even starting the car up.
“I just.. don’t want to ruin your nice image, that’s all.” Emmy shrugs her shoulders as if it was nothing, but honestly it’s quite a lot to me. I don’t want her thinking she has to be all perfect in order to keep my reputation good.
“You know that’s a load of shit, baby. You don’t have to dress any certain way.” I tell her as I glance in the rear view mirror, making sure there were no cars going behind me before I begin to back out of the parking space.
Emmy doesn’t reply to me – but yet that doesn’t surprise me one bit. She’s the one to start the arguments, but she also gets mad and shuts it all up when things get serious, or she gets somewhat slightly offended.

It was quiet in the car. Katie was asleep, or at least I’m pretty sure she is. Emmy hasn’t said anything, the last time I asked she was just scrolling through her phone, so I figure she’s still doing that. “I think she’s waking up.” Emmy’s voice whispers suddenly, breaking the silence in the car.
I glance over in her direction so see her turned in her seat so she could see in the back seat. “Don’t bother her, she needs all the sleep she can get.’’ I mumble back.
“If she sleeps any more than she already has then she won’t sleep at all tonight.” Emmy protest my idea with an annoyed sigh. Even though she can’t see me do it, I give her an eye roll and turn my focus back to the road. From the corner of my eye I see Emmy’s turned back straight in her seat, her hands folded in her lap, her eyes staring out of the windshield, she’s most likely mad at me now, but hey that’s honestly nothing new.
“Turn this down.” Emmy huffs as she turns the volume dial all the way down on the radio, she honestly complains entirely too much. Remember Harry she’s pregnant, her hormones are messing up – but what’s her excuse for all the times before when she’s acted like this?
“What’s your issue?” I ask after hearing another huff leave her mouth. I lean my arm against the door, casually waiting for her to reply to me. I find my eyes staring into the rear view mirror, the lights from the city help me see my precious little angel, her eyes are still closed so for now she’s alright, and still asleep.
“I don’t feel good, now leave me alone.” She grunts as she slouches in the seat some, her emotions taking over her already.
“Just remember I asked.” I say in a light voice, not really intending for it to cause a response from her – but I swear she hears every damn noise that leaves my mouth.
“What did you say?’’ She snaps, her head turning in my direction. I look over at her and just roll my eyes, she’s too dramatic these days, nothing new at all. “Harry, answer me.” She demands in a stern voice as if she was scolding Katie for doing something “wrong”.
“Emmy, please.” I sigh out, my eyes in the mirror yet again, I just can’t help my constant worrying about my little girl – my whole world.
“Harry, keep your eyes on the road.” Emmy says, her fingers snapping in front of my face, distracting me from my main concern.
“Get out of my face.” I exhale deeply, not really in the best mood because of her right now. I push her hand away, receiving an unpleasant and angry sound from her.
“Don’t do that.” She says, once again as if I’m the baby. Sometimes I just want to – no, don’t even finish that sentence Harry, because you know you’ll just regret for the rest of your life. Right, just shut up and focus on the road and not on the bitch sitting beside you.
“Stop fucking distracting me then.” The words left my mouth before I even realized it and already I know I’ll be in some sort of trouble. Here it comes.
“Then fucking pay attention to the damn road! People die every day, Harry, and I’m sure you don’t want that to happen to us!” She yells, her voice loud in the quiet car.
“If you have a god damn problem with my driving then why don’t you fucking drive yourself everywhere.” I insist. I clench my jaw and grip the steering wheel, attempting to control myself – that means my words  and my hands.
“Just pay attention, damn Harry, just fucking shut up! You always have to have the last word and it’s fucking annoying.” Emmy spits back, turned in my direction so she can argue back better.
“No, you’re fucking constant bitching is what’s annoying.” I correct her statement, she obviously doesn’t pay attention to anything either.
“Harry, the road please. I’m not playing.” Emmy says, turning my head towards the road with her hand.
“Don’t fucking touch me, Emmy!” My mind overpowered my heart, and before I could stop it the damage was done – my back side of my hand slams into her cheek.
Within seconds my ears are filled with Emmy’s voice screaming my name over and over. I shift my head back to the road and my eyes are suddenly blinded by bright, white lights – but my mind traced to the back seat where my little baby was.

God please don’t do this to me.   OMGGGG!.What just  happened.
