Break On Me

"Maybe it's not about the happy ending.. Maybe it's about the story."

Sometimes it’s hard to accept what is, and it’s hard to go along with something even though you know you could do better.. But how come it’s so easy to slip up? So easy to say the wrong thing, use the wrong words, or even make the wrong moves? Sometimes we just all need to break.. in more ways than just mentally. I want you to know, that no matter what, I will always be here for you.. whether you like it or not, if you want me here or if you want me to live.. If you love me, or if you hate.. You can always break on me baby.

We loose ourselves in the things we love, we find ourselves there too..

31. Chapter 030

As I sat waiting for Emmy to speak to me, I could only image of what things it could be that are worrying her. Honestly, I thought she was sick because she was pregnant, but then I realized she had no other symptoms showing and her mood wasn’t any different. That was marked off my list after a little in mind debating of mine.
“It was from.. some guy named.. I forgot.. but… he.. Harry, he-‘’ She stops herself with a sigh as she looks down at the small space between us.
“He was what, baby?’’ I ask her curiously, and sincerely. I just want to make sure she’s okay, I just need to know what the hell is going on that has worried both me and her to death.
“Harry he said he.. he was.. Just, read it.’’ She huffs in annoyance, unable to let the words free – I understand her though, she doesn’t like talking about things that really bother her. She’d rather me just hold her and kiss her, but I know right now I must cooperate with her and what she wants, how she wants it rather.
“Where’s it at?’’ I ask her as I gesture for her to get off me so I could go get it.
“No.’’ She suddenly says, her small hands pressed against my chest.
“What is it?’’ I ask, more confused than worried honestly, ‘’What’s wrong?’’ I add in, just to assure her I’m concerned about her – I hated to risk it sometimes, she’s very sensitive and I know some things can get to her, every just a simple follow up question like that.
“I don’t.. I don’t want you to get up.’’ She says, her cheeks reddening. I give her a light sigh in return, she is so damn cute, and I just can’t resist it at all.
Emmy hides her face in the crook of my neck, her arms wrapped around my torso, “I don’t wanna move.. Harry.’’ She mumbles against my skin, her breath warm – sending chills through my body.
“Then just tell me what the letter said.. do you remember any of it?’’ I insist this new idea, hopefully she’ll be okay with it.
“I don’t remember.. much.’’ She softy says against me.
“Tell me as much as you can recall.” My offer was about as good as I’ll get, mainly because I know Emmy isn’t going to let me up, not after what she just said, and how she said it.
I start to rub my hand into her back, hoping to calm her down some. I know it works all the other times I do it, so I have no doubts. A soft sigh escapes her mouth as she squeezes me a little. I wasn’t going to rush her to tell me, I know she can break under pressure and I don’t want that right now, especially because I have no clue what’s really wrong.
“He said.. Harry.. I can’t.’’ Emmy’s voice was slightly muffled as she buried her face deeper into my neck, her fingernails digging into my lower back. She was honestly scared, whatever the hell the guy said has really made her afraid. I, for one, don’t like that too much. And I will do whatever, and I mean whatever, it takes to make sure she’s okay. There aren’t any limits when it comes to my girl – my world.
“You can’t what, baby?’’ I ask in a soft tone as I gently rock from side to side, another method I know helps her in times like this.
“I don’t wanna.. say it..’’ Her voice trails off, I couldn’t understand those last few words – and I don’t question them either.
“Why not?’’ I reply.
“I..’’ She stops at first, but her pause is followed by a cough so I try not to worry too much, “I don’t like it.’’
A light smile appeared on my face, not really sure why but it did. Sometimes she was so innocent, like a child. There’s things she says that just make me smile. However, I know this is no time for laughing and I need to, I have to rather, keep myself collected.
For her.
“Just say one word.. or a phrase to tell me everything. Make it.. simple, love.’’ I insist with a sigh, hoping she didn’t take it as a sign of annoyance, I am just tired that’s all.
Emmy’s quiet. Nothing leaving her mouth, hardly any movements either. For a moment I thought I didn’t feel her breathing against me, but I realize that was just me worrying too much about her. Isn’t that a good thing though, that I worry?
To be completely clear – I just wished she would have told me when it first occurred, this wouldn’t be happening. We’d be asleep beside each other instead of her falling apart in my arms, and me freaking out in this damn room, and in my head.
“Let me up.’’ Emmy’s voice cuts my thoughts off. I open my eyes, not even realizing I had closed them for a few seconds, I guess a few?
No questioning reply leaves my mouth I as let my arms fall from around her. She leans up, her hands on my waist as her eyes meet mine. She tilts closer to me, a small distance between us.
“I.. I’ll just.. show you.’’ She whispers softly, her lips pressing a soft kiss against the dimple in my left cheek.
I give her a light nod as she climbs off me, steading her balance as her feet the ground.
Finally I will know what the hell has happened. Better yet, I can soon figure out ways to make this, whatever it is, matter and make sure Emmy is okay.
That’s all I want.. I just want her to be okay.

Hope You Like It.
