Smile|A Joshler Fanfiction

Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph both know that they're gay. However, because of their fame, they both pretend to be straight, fearing that they would no longer be accepted. Josh and Tyler aren't only just gay, they're gay for each other, but they don't admit it to the other, so they're both scared to go for it. Especially Josh, who is scared that if he admits his love Tyler will become more depressed, and Josh couldn't stand to see the love of his life like that.

13. A Bullet For Him

Moving in together was not as awkward as Josh had expected it to be. Tyler didn't have much to move and he was perfectly fine with whatever circumstances there were. However, they did have to sleep in the same bed, which Josh assumed was awkward for both of them.

"Josh?" Tyler asked one night.

"I can't sleep."

Josh propped himself up on one elbow and looked at Tyler through the darkness. His face looked rather saturated against the dim lighting, like he'd been crying.

"Is Blurry bothering you again?" Josh asked.

Tyler nodded. Josh wrapped his arm around him and found that he was shaking.

"You're okay, I promise," He said.

Tyler shook his head.

"No, I won't be okay."

"Yes, you will," Josh insisted, looking into his brown eyes.

He wrapped his arms around Tyler and let him sob into his T-Shirt.

"Shut up!" Tyler yelled at the voice inside his head.

"Shhh," Josh whispered, rubbing his back.

Tyler let out a tremendous sob and Josh held him tighter.

Suddenly a crashing sound came from downstairs and the two jumped apart, staring at the door in fear.

"Do you think someone's in here?" Tyler whispered.

Josh crawled out of bed slowly and nervously approached the door. It opened with ease and he slipped out into the hallway. Tyler followed quietly and the both cautiously peeked around the corner to where the staircase was.

A man stood in Josh's living room next to a broken window which he seemed to have entered through. He wore black and a mask so they couldn't see his face.

Tyler slipped his phone out of his pocket and quickly dialed 911 while Josh approached the staircase uneasily.

"Hey!" He yelled, catching the the man's attention.

He would have stayed in the corner with Tyler if he had known the man had a gun.

"Woah!" He cried as he drew his gun and aimed it straight at him.

He could hear Tyler speaking into his phone ugently as he ran into the kitchen to grab a frying pan.

Bang! The man was shooting at him. He grabbed the handle of a pot and held it above his head, turning to face the man.

He shot again and Josh dodged out of the way, running back into the living room.

Suddenly Tyler appeared at the top of the stairs.

"Tyler get back upstairs!" Josh screamed.

Tyler ignored him and looked directly at the man.

"Excuse me," He said, "Could you please leave?"

For a second it was as if Tyler's innocent voice had actually convinced him that he should leave, but that only lasted for a moment. Before Josh knew it there was a bang and Tyler screamed, grabbing his foot and tumbling down the stairs.

"Tyler!" Josh cried, running towards him.

The man shoved him out of the way and he flew into a bookshelf. He then grabbed Tyler and forced him against the wall, holding the gun to his head. Josh jumped up despite his menacing pain and tackled the man. With the impact of Josh's body, he pulled the trigger and Tyler just barely ducked in time. The man punched Josh in the nose and he groaned, rolling off of him.

There were two bangs and the last thing he saw was Tyler screaming, "NO!" And kneeling beside him before everything went black.
