“Let’s go then have you all got your seat belts fastened?’

Billy turned the key in the ignition and the van fired up he pulled away then headed towards Newcastle. Billy tried the radio he’d been given; “Golden Chamber, this is the Leprechaun come in over.’

There was a long silence then the radio clicked.’

“Leprechaun where the hell are you, over?’

“I’m heading for the rainbow on the border with the gold pieces over.’

“Be careful Leprechaun the snake is on your tail.’

“Golden Chamber I will, radio you on arrival; out.’

“Who was that?’

“That was Ralph Mason my boss, he’s going to make sure we are safe once we get to where we are going.

“How long will it take us to get there asked Brenda?’

“It should be about an hour and twenty minutes if we take the A697.

“How did you get mixed up with McGill asked Annie.’

“I was a struggling singer in Belfast in those days and found it hard to get gigs. It was McGill who found me work but it was at a price.’

“Isn’t it always?’ That’s how Seamus’ father got involved; look at where he is now because of it.’

Billy’s lips tightened into a half smile knowing it could well have been him. He took the second left on the round about then carried on. He checked to see how much petrol was in the tank; it was well over three quarters full so he would have enough to get them there.

Do you think that they will catch McGill and the others before they get back to Belfast?’

“Lets hope so for Seamus’ sake.’

Why?’

“Well Sean McStiefain won’t be happy that your husband cocked up a mission.’

“What will they do to him said Annie with a look of concern?’

“Sean is capable of anything; he is a cold blooded killer.’

“What he could kill my dad and our Liam?’

“Don’t worry my boss won’t let that happen.’

“It’s bloody happened before; why not now?’

Because we are onto McStiefain and his team; it’s just a matter of time before we get them all.’ My guess is that McGill will lead us right to the lot of them.’

“That’s if they don’t kill my husband and my son first.’

“Try to stay positive Mrs Webster. When this is over you can go back to living a normal life again.’

“We will spend the rest of our lives looking over our shoulder you know that as well as I do. “No matter where we go in the world there will always be that fear that they will come looking for us and kill us all.’

Billy knew what they were saying was true; he would always need protection no matter where he went.
