bombs were placed into the waste bins further down. They could not take out the flasks as it may have looked suspicious but McGill thought that adding the grenades would cause a bigger ratio of death inside the ground which pleased him immensely.

The players came back on and Peter Carrington took his seat. Everything was going to plan.

When Robert Black and the rest of the team assembled Ralph showed them what they had to go on. “Not a lot is there said Billy Green.’

“Three words James, Newcastle, and Target.’

“Is the target called James?’ voiced Terry Matthews.

“Who of importance is in Newcastle today?’

“Now if you were in the bombers shoes where would you place a bomb where it could not be easily discovered?’

“Somewhere where there are a lot of people to cause the most casualties said Geoff Rushworth. “ What about Eldon Square?’ lots of crowds, confined space, maximum panic among the crowds.’

“Right, good thinking Geoff; let’s get a force up there and check it out.’ Tell the people to make their way to the exits calmly we don’t want a stampede.  Do not tamper with any package just leave it for the bomb squad who are on their way as we speak. “If anyone asks you why they have to get out of the building tell them there has been a small fire in the McDonalds kitchen and it is only a precautionary measure to evacuate the building understood.’

“Yes sir.’

“What about the pubs sir, there are a lot of them and they will be packed out with the match being on.

“Yes I couldn’t hear the bloody message because of the noise from football fans.’

“Was it in a pub?’ did you trace the call.

“Yes it came from the Hotspur.’

“Get a squad up there ASAP and search the place. Evacuate all the punters from the pub and clear the area.’

“A note was passed to Ralph Mason who’s mind was working overtime.’ He hadn’t thought of it before but now it all seemed clear. I know where the target is.’

“Rob and the rest of you get as many men as you can muster quickly.’

The Target is Peter Carrington and he’s at the Newcastle United match. Phone the ground and get him out of there. “Meanwhile we still have a big problem; what if they have planted bombs in the ground itself.’

Christ, said Rob it would kill thousands.’

“Now my guess is the bombs in the pub and Eldon Square are just a diversion for the main target.’

What time is it?

“It’s five past four sir.’

“Right lets go, we don’t have a lot of time.’ Have you got through to the ground yet?’

No sir it’s busy.’

“Keep trying, we have to get Carrington out of there.’

Ralph Sprinted with Robert and the rest of the team to the car park and they jumped in and headed towards the ground.
