“You have a rat in your house.’

“Do you know who it is?’

“No, but he works for your side.’

“He’s known as Jesus by McGill; that’s all I can tell you but he is passing on all the info that MI5 have on operations so be careful who you tell.’

“Jesus be Christ said Ralph. “ I will pay Seamus Webster a visit tomorrow.’ “Thanks Billy we won’t forget this.’

“Just watch my back will you, I don’t want to get shot by one of your lot.’ the computer announced Billy and he went past Ralph and took to the stage.

Ralph made his way discretely down the back stairs and out of the building where Rob Black was waiting in the car park.’

“Get anything Sir.’

Yes, there’s a shipment coming in next week; and guess what we have a rat in the house.

“Bugger off; who told you that?’

Ralph looked at Rob and didn’t speak.

“You don’t think it’s me do yer sir,’ Christ I’ve only been on the force a short while.’

“I know its not you Rob that’s why I told you.’

“I want you to keep this between us and the boss do you hear me not a bloody word.’

After they had finished their main course Julia looked at Dennis Lord and smiled. “That was a lovely meal Dennis thank you.’

Dennis paid the bill to Gino and left him a hefty tip before getting up from his seat and escorting Julia to the door.

“Would you care for a night cap?’

“No thank you; I have work tomorrow; another drink and I will be on my back.’

“Alright, I will take you home; I’m okay to drive.’

“Where do you live Julia? “ I live in Chillingham road, just over from the pet shop.’

“Yes, I know where that is. Dennis opened the door for Julia and she slid in and put on her safety belt.

Dennis didn’t bother; he just started the engine then pulled away.’

“I think you ought to put on your safety bet Dennis.’

“I’m head of MI5 what police officer in their right mind is going to arrest me.’

“Julia laughed as Dennis drove through to Walkergate then onto Shields Road in Byker he turned left which took him onto Chillingham Road. When he came to a stop outside of Julia’s house; she asked if he would like to come in for coffee.’

“Not this time Julia he said, maybe next time if you’d like to come out with me again.’

“Why don’t I cook for us next time then?’

“Sounds good to me said Dennis, as she leant across and kissed him briefly.’

Dennis wasn’t expecting her to take the lead and it shocked him.’

“Will I see you tomorrow said Dennis.’

“Only if you happen to pass my office?

“Well you could do me a big favour.’

“Yes; what is that?’

“If any information comes in from our contacts could you ring my office on this number; you will be put straight through to me.’ Dennis handed her his card and she put it into her bag before getting out of the car and walking to her door. Dennis waited until she was safely inside then pulled away.
