“Thanks I only want to check to see what’s on at the cinema tonight.’

“Oh I can tell you what’s on at the Cannon; I was there last night; there’s a comedy called “Carry on up the Jungle” with Terry Scott, Sid James, Kenneth Connor, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims, Frankie Howard, and Jacki  Piper. It’s really funny then the main feature is a horror film called “Beast in the Cellar” starring Flora Robson and Beryl Reid.

“Thank you that sounds okay.’

“Well it’s only 80p to get in so it will be a cheap night for you all.’

“What time does it start?’

There a matinee on at 2.30pm this afternoon and it will be cheaper as well.

“Right then who’s for going this afternoon?’

“I’ll go said Brenda.’

“Well if Brenda is going then I will go as well.’

“What about you Liam?’

“I guess we’re all going then what time is it now.’

“Its two fifteen now.’

“If we hurry we can make it; as it’s just up the road.’

“Come on then sup up and let’s get out of here.’

“They drank the coffee’s then said goodbye to Denise.’

“I hope that you enjoy the pictures.’

“They hurried up the road to where the cinema was which took them a good ten minute walk. They were practically running to keep up with Liam’s long strides.’

Liam kept imitating Terry Scott as he played a Tarzan character called Ugh.

Brenda and Janice though it was hilarious and were giggling away.

Two women turned and told them to be quiet.

Liam replied in his Terry Scots voice; “Me man! you ugly bugger.’

“Are you going to allow that young man to insult me Walter?’

The woman nudged her husband to say something but when he saw the size of Liam he quickly turned back around.

“Did you see the look on that woman’s face it would have melted an ice berg said Danny; look they are moving further along.’

“I think that you upset her by calling her ugly.’

“Well she asked for it; I mean the film was finished was it not.’

“She was just jealous because we have two beautiful girls with us and she just has a fat, bald man to contend with.’

“I wouldn’t like to be in his bed waking up to that face every morning.’

“You are horrible laughed Brenda; she might have been good looking once upon a time.

“In another life maybe; I think when she was born the midwife slapped her mother.’

 Jan began to giggle.’

“You don’t even know her and you’re calling the poor woman like that.’

“I don’t know her but her face rings a bell in Notre dame.’

Janice had now lost control and was laughing her head off. The Ugly woman kept staring over at them. The curtains reopened and the main feature started. The plot was
