6. Natalie- the L word

NATALIE'S POINT OF VIEW:

After a loving text from Max that it was a formal meal tonight I finally took a shower. A long one with many Bath and Body works shower gels. I applied Winter Candy Apple lotion and brushed my hair and teeth. My hair drys super quickly so I changed into my green dress first. Then I french braided a tiny piece of my hair adding accent to the outfit. I patted the necklace I never take off from Max a few years ago. It reads "3/15-4:32" the day and time we met. I love him so much. I tightened my red high heels and ran downstairs to meet Max. He was so handsome in his tux I couldn't help but kiss him right away.

"Ready Nat?" He smiled and i felt my insides tingle from excitement.

"With you, I'm always ready." I kissed his hand softly as we made our way to the LIMO he had rented.

"Max! Oh my gosh Max! A limo? You didn't...wow. You're amazing." I hugged me so tightly as he carried me into the backseat of the limo sitting next to me.

"For you, anything." He replied and my heart was beating at the speed of light.

"I don't know how you did this. And I don't want to know. The mystery's what I enjoy." I patted his tie and my necklace at the same time.

Years of dating Max let me know this wasn't the end of the surprises. Swiftly the limo driver pulled into the parking lot of the most romantic restaurant in town. Inside all the staff smiled at us and told Max he did fantastic. It was so strange. Nobody else was there.

"'Max....is it closed?" I giggled nervously and Max leaned in to me.

"No I rented it out of course. For you. For us." He smiled and pulled out a seat for me.

"Wow. You're perfect Max. I couldn't ask for anyone better." Max kissed me on the lips and then sat across from me.

"For a drink?" He asked in a British accent and I laughed along with him.

"Shirley Temple. And you Monsieur?" I giggled switching to French.

"We'll have 2 Shirley temples please." Max asked the waiter who nodded and walked away silently.

"Max you went to all this trouble. For me. Why?" Max looked utterly confused.

"Why? Why. I have strong feelings for you Natalie. I wouldn't be anywhere without you. And your smile. And your awesome personality. You make me the happiest man alive. I'm so lucky to be your boyfriend Natalie. You make me who I am." He whispered and I leaned across the table toward him.

"I don't feel I deserve this. I don't deserve YOU, Max." I sighed and looked down at the cream tablecloth.

"Natalie don't say that. I don't want anything else from you. I want you for you. I adore you for you. Yourself. We deserve each other. Don't you think?" He murmured and I grabbed his hand gently.

"I'm so glad we're together Max." I giggled and smiled lovingly at him.

"No girl could make me happier." He had a look of true passion on his face.

My heart beat so quickly I couldn't handle it. The waiter returned with our drinks and we ordered lobster to split as our meal. The buttery lobster was something I'll never forget just like that night. After the meal, Max hurried me out to his car.

"There's more." He grinned mischievously and I laughed wondering what else he could possibly do.

Max pulled into the parking lot of a 15 foot building who's lot was deserted. I've dreamed of this building all my life. I've told Max my fantasies of dancing on the 15th floor gazing out at the city of Manhattan. We climbed the flights of stairs until we reached the top floor.

"Let's dance." Max murmured and pulled me in close.

"Max this is a dream come true. You're a dream come true." I reached up and kissed his cheek gently and he smiled down at me.

"Come on. Let's boogie." He laughed as he said it and I quickly joined in.

He first played a romantic love song and we danced until our feet couldn't hold us up anymore.

"Thank you. I couldn't imagine a better night." I whispered as Max lead me to my front door.

"Thank you Natalie. For making me so lucky and so happy." He murmured and rubbed a hand through his hair.

"I love you Natalie." He murmured and for a second I was shocked.

"I love you too Max." I screamed and kissed him on the lips.

MAX'S POINT OF VIEW:

I was scared. Nervous. That my plans would go badly. I had talked to my cousin Bernie who owns this 15 story high building in Manhattan where Natalie said she always wanted to dance. With the love of her life. Bernie had closed it early and let me take my precious girlfriend Natalie. When I picked up Natalie she came down in a tight green dress and red heels.

"Ready Nat?" I asked her and I could practically see her insides tingling.

"With you I'm always ready." She murmured beautifully and softly kissed my hand.

I had rented a limo for us and Natalie's facial expression was amazing. That night was amazing. When we danced on top of Connected, the 15 story high building, I couldn't help but stare at her the whole time.

When I walked her to her door that night, breathlessly, I knew. I knew I had fallen for Natalie Evans.

"I love you Natalie." I blurted and for a moment she looked confused.

"I love you too Max." She murmured and we embraced in a tight hug.

She gently slipped out of my arms and into her dark house. I knew I found her. The one.
