My True Teen-Mom Story

JANUARY 28, 2017

Today was definitely a long one. I had a senior meeting today just to go over some graduation stuff and I got the extra tassels for my cap. Graduation is only a few months away and I couldn't be more excited about it. After the meeting, I went out to lunch with another friend that goes to the same online school (I brought Savannah to lunch but not the meeting). Matthew had work until eight, so the baby and I went home after that and I did some much needed housework. After Matthew got off work, he came over but babygirl was asleep by then so he helped me clean up my bedroom and start to set up the crib in Savannah's nursery.

I can't remember if I've mentioned this before or not, but since I spent the first few months co-sleeping with Savannah, I hadn't even bothered to set her nursery up while I was pregnant because I didn't need it. She's sleeping around four or five hours (six hours on great nights) without waking up (which is GREAT for her age), so I figured it'd be a good time to start getting her used to her crib and own room.

I wish I was able to take Savannah around his family more, but his mom is... something different. I'll just say that about her. I cant stand to be in the same room as her, so I stay away as much as possible and Matthew gets the baby every other weekend.

I'm kind of melancholy about Savannah growing up. It's a bittersweet feeling because I'm so excited to see her growing up and I can't wait until she starts talking, but she's only four months and it already depresses me that she's so big. I thought parents were being dramatic when they talk about how sad it makes them that their babies are growing up, but now I entirely see where they're coming from. I'm hoping to make it to the gym tomorrow because Matthew's off work and he wants to bring Savannah to some family dinner that's going on at his grandma's house, so if I can get all of the school and housework I have for the day early enough, I'm gonna go and try to work off the rest of this baby chub.

It's eleven o'clock and I'm thoroughly exhausted, so this momma's gonna get in the bed while Savannah is still asleep. I hope everyone's day was great and thanks for the reads! :)
