3. Chapter 2

I followed Katerina to the throne room where I saw the Queen on her throne. The two princes, Ashton and Harry were on her right and the princess, Lauren was on her left. The rest of my family were already here with beautiful garments on.

"Welcome to my castle! We are so glad to serve you," the Queen said after I joined where my family was standing. For a split moment, Ashton and I stared at each other but he turned his attention to his mother. " If you want anything to let my butler, Don know. If you need anything to eat or clothes let my tailor, James and cook, Jane know. Other than that you all are free to look around. Prince Ashton will give you a tour," the Queen finished.

"Right this way," Ashton said and started walking in one direction.

The tour finally ended and Ashton headed off to his room but I couldn't help but to want to introduce myself and talk to him.

"Ashton!" I called. He turned at the sound of his name. I walked over to him. "I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Annabelle Lee."

"I was informed about you and your family. They told me your name and everything. In fact, that is how I was to choose a family. By looking at the names. Your family looks interesting," he explained. I blushed. To be honest, my family and I weren't like most families. We had a dark past but we are trying to change that.

"Good to know." is all I said. I mentally slapped myself. Is that really all you could say?, I thought. Ashton chuckled.

"If you have anything to ask I will be in my room at the end of the third hall," he explained to me and pointed to his room. He started to walk off until I called after him again.

"Wait!" I called. He stopped and turned again. "I thought we could talk," I suggested. "You know. To get to know each other. I will be here for a whole year. Might as well start talking now," I finished. He chuckled again.

"I guess it won't hurt to talk a bit," he answered. We sat on a benched and talked like there was nothing in the world that could stop us. But there was.

"Ashton!" a girl called over. She looked familiar.

"Isabella! What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be in Paris?" Ashton asked. She giggled.

"I was supposed to but I canceled to see you! But I see you are busy," she explained and looked over at me. Then I remembered her. She was Isabella Rhine, Princess of Cordova.
