Angel of Desire: Crying In My End

Luna Palafox, a 16 year old girl, was in a bad “incident” with a guy friend, 17 year old Perry Brice. Luna and Perry had a lot of classes together, and became very good friends over a month. Luna was being bullied in school, Perry was always there to protect his best friend. One day they were going out to the ice rink near both of their houses, although they didn’t make it all the way. What will happen to Luna? Perry? Luna’s Brother? Find out in Angel of Desire: Crying In My End (Book 1).

4. Chapter 3

Today was my first day back to school. I was on crutches. I had one of my older friends help me, but something about me was different. I wasn’t talking. I got to my first class, art. Perry’s in my art class. As I got into the room, earlier than I needed to be, I looked at the board. Assigned seats. Great… I thought. I found my name and sat down. I looked next to me. Sitting there was a new boy. He had blonde hair and light green eyes.

“Hi, my name is Lucas.” He said. I looked at him and made a gesture to say hi. “Don’t talk much… huh.” He replied. I shook my head no, to tell him that I didn’t. I looked back to my almost full sketch book. I turned to a new page in the back. I started to draw a silhouette of a face, but without facial features, and started drawing long hair, to about the waistline, like mine was. I then got colored pencils and started to shade my brown to blonde ombre. I looked over to notice Lucas staring at my page. “Wow, you’re really good.” He said. I smiled and made a gesture to say thanks.

“Ok class.” Said our teacher as she walked into the class as the bell rang. She was small and thin, and had red hair. “Our first drawing of the week will be your spirit animal, or the animal you would like to be.” Easy. I thought. I started drawing half of a wolf’s head, then I stopped. I thought of how to add half of my face to the other side of the drawing. Then I saw where they would meet up perfectly, then I started to add my hair, my face and my facial features. I had a few more minutes left of class so I took out my notebook that Perry gave me and started writing. It wasn’t a poem this time, it was song lyrics.

I know you're somewhere out there

Somewhere far away

I want you back

I want you back

My neighbors think I'm crazy

But they don't understand

You're all I had.

That’s all I had time for. The bell rang and I went to my next class. The day went on, long and full of pain with the loss of Shannon and the pains of my left side. I was so happy to be home. I went down the hall to my bedroom, but on the way, I passed Shannon’s room. His door open, his walls filled with various posters including some AC/DC posters. I felt tears start in my eyes. I had to keep moving. I got to my room and plopped down on my bed. I did my homework then decided to go to bed, after dinner of course.
