There's no time

It had been 3 years since Jacob Stone had been reported missing. It came as a shock to those who knew him best, as he was quite happy for the average 13 year old. I'm Daisy Thomas and I'm gonna tell you what actually happened to the him.

Daisy, Daniel and Christopher are mourning at their friend's funeral. But then a sinister figure emerges from the shadows of their small town. After many strange events, Daisy and her friends are soon swept up into a mystery that no one could even begin to imagine. It's not long before they realise that the clock is ticking, and for something's, there's no time...

34. Part 3 - Chapter 33

Phase 1 was complete. Daniel had got the girl and had ridden away. I looked after them sadly. I was remembering his glazed over eyes as he looked at the girl in his arms. His happy, yet sad, tone he used when he spoke about 'Daisy.' I'd give anything for him to look at me or speak about me that way. But that wasn't gonna happen. Not in a million years. I thought as Jank yanked my arm. Though I'd been standing there for less than 5 seconds, I realised that we needed as much time as we could get. I snapped out of it.

Jank, Stacey and I strode into the room. Trinia was still on her back, eyes glued to the ceiling. I pointed quickly at Stacey.

"Look out, watch to see if she wakes up or Daniel comes back." She nodded and started walking to the door. If we could, we would've given Trinia another shot. But we couldn't. The gun was for a single shot only. It wasn't able to recharge and no one had enough money to buy more of the paralysers or the multi shot ones. We where going to have to make do with what we had. Because what we had was precious.

Then we heard Stacey scream. I swivelled round with a spanner in hand, expecting to see Trinia up twenty seconds early. Stacey was clutching the door frame with one hand and pointing with the other. There were two boys nailed to the wall. Not just any boys. Tarrin and ,Stacey's life long crush, Will from hover group. My hand went to my mouth. I don't want to describe what they looked like. It was too horrible. Jank tugged at my arm again.

"Come on," he said urgently. "We gotta find the tracker locator." I nodded, unable to to speak. Sure that if I looked back that I'd be sick, I looked at my watch instead.

It made me feel equally as sick. 15 seconds left. Find the tracker. Destroy it. Get out. I ran round the room wildly. Find the tracker. Destroy it. Get out. That's what Daniel had said.

"Here," yelled Jank. Found the tracker. Destroy it. Get out. "Smash it." That was Jank's answer to everything. But this time it might just work. Found the tracker. Destroy it. Get out. I raised the spanner and brought it down on 10 times. I used all the force that I thought I had. Jank told me to 'smash it' harder, that I should pretend it was the person I hated most. I pretended it was 'Daisy.' I hated this girl to have that name. It was the same name as my best friend from hover group.she wasn't with us that night for a reason I didn't know at the time. I thought that she might have been ill. That was kinda strange cuz she always wanted to spend as much time as possible away from the orphanage. She'd been put there when her parents had been murdered 4 years ago.

"Wow, where'd that come from?" Jank asked. I shrugged. "You must really hate someone."

Found the tracker. Destroy it. Get out. When it was sufficiently unusable, we ran with 7 seconds. Found the tracker. Destroyed it. Get out. 7 seconds to get the other 4 that we'd been told about. 7 seconds to run. 7 seconds before the monster woke from its slumber. Outside we found the rest of the group. They were talking hurriedly to 3 girls and 1 boy.

5. "Come on!" I cried.

4. "Let's get out of here!" Jank yelled.

3. The 4 of them jumped on to the backs of occupied hover boards.

2. We kicked off.

1. A terrible roar of rage filled the night, chasing after us. Time's up.
