There's no time

It had been 3 years since Jacob Stone had been reported missing. It came as a shock to those who knew him best, as he was quite happy for the average 13 year old. I'm Daisy Thomas and I'm gonna tell you what actually happened to the him.

Daisy, Daniel and Christopher are mourning at their friend's funeral. But then a sinister figure emerges from the shadows of their small town. After many strange events, Daisy and her friends are soon swept up into a mystery that no one could even begin to imagine. It's not long before they realise that the clock is ticking, and for something's, there's no time...

21. Part 2 - Chapter 21

The burning anger reappeared on Trinia's face. It never seemed to be far away. Always bubbling at the surface. She left the time machine and advanced on me. Kneeling down in front of me, she pressed her face close to mine. Our noses where almost touching. Head tilted, she looked into my eyes. Not just at them. Right into them. Inside me.

"Because, you took everything from me." She was speaking in a hoarse whisper. It was still loud enough for the others to hear, but a whisper no less. "So, that is why I'm going to take everything from you."

Swiftly, she arose from her crouched position. "Ok, chop chop everyone" she said clapping her hands and turning around to the other 7. "Positions people!" She pulled down a small leaver. All the magnets released. All of them but mine. The people on the wall fell in heaps on the floor. Cries rang out as they landed in awkward positions. I looked down the wall.

Next to me, Daniel was slumped on the floor. He'd gone flying backwards faster than I had. She was purposely treating him roughly. I could already see that she wanted a retaliation from me. I was going to keep calm. I wasn't going to lose it. Trinia went over to the people on the floor. She tugged at Annabel and Rebecca. They where the same height. Trinia was a head taller than both of them, but was still quite small. A small person with a lot of time on her hands.

Somehow, she'd managed to hall them onto their feet. Now she was shoving them against the wall and inserting something into their necks with a small pointed needle. The liquid was purple.

"Wait, stop. What are you doing?" I said worriedly. Was it a poison?

"Inserting tracker devices," she said innocently without turning around. "Just in case someone has a clever idea about making a run for it," I looked around. There was nothing that anyone could do. As I looked around the room, my eyes laid to rest on Daniel.

He was awake with his eyes open wide. Brow furrowed. I'd seen that look before. Was he calculating something, no, he was waiting for something. He looked up at me, indicating for me to keep quiet. Seconds later Harry's door burst open. The sheep dog ran wild around the room knocking Trinia off her feet. Before she had time to recover, Daniel bounced up and ran to the door. He unbolted it. Just before he left he winked at me. Then he was gone.
