There's no time

It had been 3 years since Jacob Stone had been reported missing. It came as a shock to those who knew him best, as he was quite happy for the average 13 year old. I'm Daisy Thomas and I'm gonna tell you what actually happened to the him.

Daisy, Daniel and Christopher are mourning at their friend's funeral. But then a sinister figure emerges from the shadows of their small town. After many strange events, Daisy and her friends are soon swept up into a mystery that no one could even begin to imagine. It's not long before they realise that the clock is ticking, and for something's, there's no time...

2. Part 1 - Chapter 2

Though his body had been found, the warmth that was slowly fading from Jacob indicated that he had only died minutes ago. I told you he'd been missing for 3 years, he had been. However he was still the same age as he was when he disappeared. How that was possible was a mystery to everyone. Compared to Dan and Chris' mature faces, pimpled skin and darker upper lip hair, Jacob was still a baby. When I first met the two of them in year 7 they where lanky with next to no muscle. They constantly complained about not being able to put on any weight. Now a days they've both broadened in their shoulders.

I say that the boys have grown up, so have I. Now I'm approximately the same height that Jacob use to be and my face has changed since the last school photo that's been taken. And then there was all the other stuff that happened to all girls, good, bad and painful. But the pains of the past few years have payed off; my curls are no longer greasy and lank like they use to be. My body is curvy instead of straight up and down like the guys. And like Jacob, I have many admirers. Daniel gets defensive about this and lets it be known I'm his. It's also the other way around.

After my best friend  went missing, I took up running. I thought it would help if I ran away from the past, mentally and physically. I use to carry more baby fat than most girls in my year group, not anymore. I'd lost weight then gained it again with muscle. I was still the same person though. The guys smile and tell me no matter what I look like, I haven't changed, not really.

Out of the 3 of us, I definitely took his disappearance and death the worst. That doesn't mean that the guys weren't affected, they really where. But everyone could see how hard it was for me. Jacob and I, 2 peas in a pod went way back. If one weren't around, the other would be asked where they were.

Life became almost unbearable. I said that the 4 of us are supportive. I don't know what Christopher, Daniel and I would have done without each other these past few years. The people at school where heartless. They'd say they thought that he'd run away (which was usually because I'd rejected him.) They'd quiz us on why he was gone. They asked us if we thought Jacob was alive or not. I told them I didn't know. After 2 years I knew that he couldn't be. But I still hoped. I still had faith.
