There's no time

It had been 3 years since Jacob Stone had been reported missing. It came as a shock to those who knew him best, as he was quite happy for the average 13 year old. I'm Daisy Thomas and I'm gonna tell you what actually happened to the him.

Daisy, Daniel and Christopher are mourning at their friend's funeral. But then a sinister figure emerges from the shadows of their small town. After many strange events, Daisy and her friends are soon swept up into a mystery that no one could even begin to imagine. It's not long before they realise that the clock is ticking, and for something's, there's no time...

14. Part 1 - Chapter 14

It had been an hour since Daniel had left to get Christopher and they still weren't  back. I sat with Abi and Amy as they played with their Lego at the table when the older sister asked where he was.

"I don't know Amy" I said as she built an X-wing from a Star Wars movie.

"Maybe the first order came and now he's being tortured by Kylo Ren." Abi put in as she focused on building a mini Death Star. The whole family, including Daniel, had an obsession with Star Wars.

"Hmm, maybe," I said smiling. "Now, speaking of evil dark forces, has anyone seen Jonny?" They both burst out laughing. Johnny was their other older brother. He was a year younger than Daniel however he seemed to have twice as much expertise in being annoying.

"He's barricaded himself inside his room." said Amy solemnly.

"Yeah, he won't let anyone in, which means Daniel has nowhere to sleep" continued Abi.

Yet another hour passed and Daniel still wasn't back. I was getting worried. Something was really wrong. He and Chris weren't answering my messages. Neither where Lydia and Annabel. I looked up from my phone as Mrs Couper came downstairs.

"Daniel still not home?" She asked puzzled. I shook my head.

"No. I'm gonna go look for him." Then she started up about how I needed to stay and rest, that I was too weak. But as usual I wouldn't listen. I was out the door before anyone could stop me.

My first port of call - Christopher's house. He lived in the vicarage next to the church. It really wasn't that far from Daniels house. That's what made it so worrying. Had Daniel actually been to Christopher's house or had something happened to him on the way? There was only one way to find out.

When I knocked, Chris' mum opened the door. She smiled at me looking like she was slightly confused.

"Daisy, how are you? Daniel told us about what happened to you."

"Daniel's been here?" I inquired.

"Why yes, he and Christopher left over 1 1/2 hours ago to go and see you, aren't they there?" I shook my head.

"No I'm looking for them now,"

"Ok love, you do that, good luck, I hope you find them!"

"I will!" I called back, more puzzled than ever.
