7. Sassy Baby

This child was very different from Tyler, even before they were born. They kicked a lot more and seemed to be trying to claw their way out.

Josh was miserable and exhausted.

"So," Josh said, plopping down on the bed next to Brendon, "What should we name this baby?"

"Something sassy."

"Sassy? What about, like, Daniel?"

"Yeah but emo-er."

"You mean, like, Gerard?"

Brendon's eyes lit up. "That's perfect!"

"Alright," Josh said smiling, because Brendon actually agreed with him, "What about girl's names?"

"I'm sticking with Sara."

"You think Sarah is sassy?"

He laughed. "No, but Sara without an 'h' sure is."

"What does that even mean?"

Brendon shrugged.

!Time skip bc this is a special chapter in honor of MCR!

The nurse walked into the waiting room with a smile on his face.

His smile faded when he realized who he would be talking to.

"Hello sir! Your baby was born!"

Brendon looked up. He was excited, maybe this time he would get the girl he was hoping for.

"He's a boy!"

Brendon looked back at his phone. The milk fic was far more interesting than this.

"Please sir, your wife wants to see you."

"My wife is ugly."

The nurse sighed. "Would it make you feel any better to know that your baby came out of the womb wearing black eyeliner."

Brendon immediately got up and followed the nurse to the room Josh was in.

Sure enough, the baby in Josh's arms was wearing thick eyeliner, had bright red hair (similar to the hair his mother used to have), and was being very sassy.

"How is that even possible?" Brendon asked.

"Natural selection," Josh answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"That doesn't make any sense."

Josh shrugged.

They were both proud of their son. He was the sassy, emo son they had always wanted.

But still, he was a baby and he would be hard to take care of.
