Traveling Abroad: Return to Paradise

Seoul, South Korea is the place Amber and Emily have deemed paradise. The two visited last year and had the time of their lives. They were able to explore a new city outside of the United States, made friends, and got boyfriends. Not to mention they were able to hang out with Amber's awesome cousin Nari, who also snagged a boyfriend. Now, as their boyfriends are rising in fame thanks to being in the group BTS, how will their relationships hold? Will this summer in paradise be even better than the last?

14. Meeting the Parents

*~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~*

“Is everybody ready?” I look around at Taehyung, Namjoon, and Emily.

My laptop is placed on the coffee table, while the four of us are on the couch in the boy’s dorm.

Emily and Namjoon are sitting as close as possible. Namjoon has his arms around Emily’s shoulder.

Taehyung has his arm around my waist with his hand resting on thigh. My one leg is a tangled mess with my boyfriend’s legs.

          “I think so,” Namjoon answers.

“English as much as possible,” Emily reminds everyone.

I adjust my glasses, “Here goes nothing.” I lean forward and call Emily and mines parents.

Skype rings for about ten seconds before four adults appear on screen.

          “Ah, girls,” my mother smiles.

          “And boys,” Emily’s mother nods.

“Hello Emily and Amber’s parents,” Namjoon speaks up.

“Where are you?” I blurt out, trying to pick out who’s house the four are at.

“Our house,” Emily’s father answers. “Always one for the little details.”

“And, where are you?” My mother asks.

“The group’s living place,” Taehyung’s English is slower than normal.

“Like dorms but cooler,” I elaborate. “Enough of that, though. This is so you can meet the boys.”

“Mom, dad, this is my boyfriend, Namjoon,” Emily chuckles. “I never thought I would need to say that.”

“That makes this Taehyung,” I look up at Taehyung, noticing how tense he is. “Tae, relax,” I giggle. “They can’t bite you.”

Taehyung looks down at me and smiles, “I am.”

“Sure,” I look back at the laptop. “So, these are the boys who swept us off our feet last year.”

“Nari has told us a lot about them,” my father finally speaks up. “I have looked into the group, and you seem like good kids. If you didn’t, I would have called and ended the relationships.”

“Dad,” I whine. “You wouldn’t have. Besides, I’m all the way over here.”

“I can promise you that Tae and I are treating your daughters with the upmost respect and care,” Namjoon cuts in. “You have nothing to worry about.”

Taehyung squeezes my thigh for a few seconds.

“I can’t believe you two have boyfriends,” Emily’s mother gushes.

“Mom,” Emily groans. “Please, don’t embarrass us.”

“So, you dance and sing for a living?” My mother asks.

“Yes,” Taehyung nods a few times. “It is very popular over here.”

“They have so much skill,” I wiggle around to get more comfortable. “We go to their practices, and it is so cool to watch. They have a comeback coming up, so we will get to go to award shows and the sort. If they invite us,” I hint, glancing up at Taehyung.

“It will let us see more of this country, and wherever else they are going,” Emily adds. “Coming here has been amazing.”

“Traveling with seven boys without Nari,” Emily’s dad speaks up. “I don’t think so.”

“No need to worry,” Namjoon is quick to the rescue. “Our managers and some protective personal will be around at all times. Nothing bad will happen to your little girls. If they do decide to join the month adventure.”

“See, we would be fine,” I place my hand on top of the Taehyung’s that he has placed on my thigh. “The seven boys’ of BTS can protect us.”

“Taehyung, sweetheart, are you okay?” My mother is no doubt concerned.

“I’m fine,” Taehyung takes a deep breath. “I just, well, you see.”

“Taehyung, babe,” I look up at my boyfriend. “Are you nervous?”

“I just love Amber so much that I want you to accept me, and I don’t want to mess it up.”

“Tae,” I feel at a loss for words.

“That’s sweet,” Emily giggles. “Tae is like that a lot when with Amber.”

“You aren’t going to break her heart, are you?” My father sternly asks.

“Come on,” I roll my eyes.

“Of course not,” Taehyung halfway pulls me into his lap. “I never want to see her sad. My goal is to make her the happiest girl in the world.”

          “Already there,” I smile.

“If you hurt her, I’ll hurt you,” Yoongi’s voice fills my ears.

“Yoongi,” I look behind Taehyung to see the blond boy. “Say hi to our parents.”

“Hi,” he waves to the laptop.

I look back at the four adults. “That is Yoongi, my best friend of the group because we can talk about certain issues.”

“If you have any doubts, the boys and I look after Emily and Amber like they are our little sisters,” Yoongi ruffles my hair. “They are safe and loved here.”

“Ah,” I fix my hair. “Do you see it though, how being over here is good?”

“I think we do,” Emily’s mother says.

“Nari loves having you two, as well,” my mother adds.

“Where are the rest of BTS?” My father runs a hand though his hair.

“Seokjin is cooking,” Namjoon answers. “He’s the reason we are healthy. Somewhat.”

“Last I saw Jungkook and Jimin, they were playing computer games, in Jungkook’s room,” I giggle. “Boys, all over the world, all play video games. Probably too much.”

“Hoseok was writing in his room earlier,” Taehyung says. “I bet he is still doing that.”

“Well, we should let you go,” Emily’s father smiles. “Let you spend time with your friends and boyfriends.”

“Wait, so you really approve?” Emily bounces in her seat.

“Of course,” my mother smiles. “These two boys, plus the blond, make you girls very happy. The other four must do the same.”

“We want you girls to be happy,” Emily’s mother smiles. “We hope you enjoy the summer.”

“Thanks, we will,” Emily and I glance at each other, laughs escaping our lips.

“We love you,” the adults say in a jumbled mess.

Goodbyes are exchanged, and then the call is ended.

“Yah, jagi,” Taehyung tosses me onto my back a little way down the couch. “Now you must meet my family,” he hovers over me, hands on either side of my head. “Then everything will be set in stone.” He starts kissing all parts of my face.

          “Tae,” I giggle.

“I’m out,” Yoongi says, walking out of the living room.

“I love you,” Taehyung coos, placing a final kiss on my lips.

“I love you, Taehyung,” I smile, running my hand through his hair.

“No couple will ever be cuter than them,” Emily says. “It makes me so happy.”

“They are heartwarming,” Namjoon says. “Never stop being that way.”

I pull Taehyung down for another kiss. “We never will. We will always be like this.”

I will start off by saying sorry for the long time since the last upload. I've wanted to write more than type, so this was put on hold. However, starting now, regular uploads. Hope you enjoyed! :D
