Maybe she’s in the other toilet said Richard.’

“I never thought of that said Jeffery; will you go have a look with me.’

They both followed the man into the toilet.’

“Wait said Sergeant Hunter to Hopkins I want to catch this bastard with his trousers down this time.’

For three weeks they had followed Mr Jeffery Worthington and now they were going to have him.

They waited for five minutes then walked to the toilets together once outside.

“After three said the sergeant.

Three said Hunter and they burst into the toilet.’

One of the boys was holding Worthington’s penis in his hand whilst the other had it in his mouth. Stop right there you dorty bastard said Hunter; you’re nicked this time.

The two boys started crying and Hopkins led them away. Hunter waited until they were gone before his left fist shot out and buried itself into Jeffery Worthington’s stomach as he was doing up his trousers. He doubled up and hunter swiftly followed up with a left hook to his jaw Hunter was a good twenty pounds heavier than the solicitor and he fell like a bag of spuds into the urinal that was blocked up. His head hit the stone floor and he was out cold. Blood ran down his face from a three inch gash in his eye.

“The floors are awfully slippy in here aren’t they said Hunter as Worthington came around.’

“You assaulted me said Worthington, I’ll have your badge for this.’

“Seems like you have no witnesses you fucking pervert; get up you are under arrest for having sex with minors; and I’m sure we will bring other charges as well.’ I think your days as a solicitor are well and truly over. Hunter read him his rights then hand cuffed him and pushed him out of the toilet. Hopkins had finished taking statements from the two boys and had got their addresses. Hopkins gave the two boys tuppence each and told them to go straight home. They both lived in Cedarwood Avenue and they would call to see their parents later.

Hopkins saw the blood on Worthington’s face.’

What happened sir?’

“Resisted arrest and he slipped on the floor.’

“You punched me, you’re a lying bastard. I’m going to have you for this.’

“See you in court Mr Worthington.’ “I think you are going away for a long, long time.’

“Think of all of that porridge that you will get.’ When the inmates find out that you molested children I wouldn’t like to be in your shoes. “Nonce’s they call the likes of you. “ You won’t last a month in Durham nick.’

Hopkins led Worthington to the squad car. He was bundled into the back of the squad car.’

“What about my car.’

“We will pick it up later; you won’t be making bail this time Worthington, said Sergeant Hunter. They had the bag of toffees inside a plastic bag with the fingerprints of the boys and Worthington on them.’

They turned on the blue light and sped back to the station where Worthington was formally charged. Jeffery Worthington’s Fingerprints were take and a mug shot too. All his valuables were confiscated including his house and car keys. They took his coat, tie, and the laces from his shoes in case he tried to harm himself before they got him to court.

He was locked in a cell and would answer the charges in court in the morning.
