Once they had refuelled, Steve found a fisherman’s café called Lady Eleanor’s; there was nothing posh about this place as the name suggested. It was just another greasy spoon; but the breakfast was good. Steve had his usual pig out feast and three cups of tea with six slices of toast with jam on them. He’d already demolished four slices of fried bread with the monster meal he’d eaten.

”I don’t know where you put it said Tom as he looked on in amazement.’

“In here he said lifting up his jumper.’

Steve wasn’t fat; in fact he was quite skinny considering the amount of food he consumed.

Chris sat reading a newspaper trying to catch up on the news.’

“Newcastle united won anyway, they beat Arsenal 2.0 Chris was an ardent Fan and loved to stand on the terraces cheering on his team.

Come on then we’d better get moving if we want to get those pots emptied and get them sold.

They paid the old lady then headed out to where the Outcast was tied up. Once on board Tom started the engine then eased her out of the harbour. In another six hours they would be back home. Tom was pleased that he would be back on familiar ground as much as he liked the Isle of Barra it would never be home.

Professor Edward drain was expecting Martha Jones at two o’clock that afternoon; she arrived fifteen minutes early. She sat in the waiting room reading a copy of the people’s friend magazine. She was anxious to hear what the professor thought.

She kept checking her watch and at two minutes to two the receptionist asked her to go through to the professor’s office. She straightened her grey pencil skirt then pulled on the jacket before knocking and then entering the room. Professor Drain.’

Miss Jones, please take a seat. Edward Drain did not fill the description of a boffin at all. She was expecting some weedy looking man in a white coat, bald with jam jar glasses. Professor Drain was completely the opposite. He was tall; broad shouldered having played rugby for his university. He was extremely handsome with thick wavy hair and not a grey hair in sight. He looked more like a forty year old rather than that of a man in his sixties. The professor studied the files in front of him for some time before speaking.’

“I think that this boy or should I say man now has a strong case. Something made him crack that evening and if we can unlock Benjamin Leonards mind it would give us an insight to why he killed his parents.’

“I can get him to talk professor, no one knows him better than I do.’

Edward drain picked up the telephone and rang a number that he had written in his diary.

“Hello he finally said after being put through. Can I speak with Doctor Leslie Oswald please?

Hello Leslie; how are you, yes I ‘m fine, yes we can meet up; I have something that may be of great interest to you. “You have a person in solitary confinement called Benjamin Leonard is that correct?’

“Well a colleague and I would like to interview him.’
