19. The case part 2

After asking the guy at the front building some questions, I went to a woman's home. She had found the remains of a fight. When I got to her doorstep, I felt cold. The door was cracked open, and so I stepped cautiously inside. In the living room, I spotted the body of a young woman. Her nose bloody, and her eyes blank.
"Well that doesn't help me," I said out loud. I was longing for someone I loved to talk to. Even though Dean showed up last night, I just couldn't help myself. I had no idea on where these feelings came from. So I called the cops, and left. I wasn't in the mood to talk to cops.
Getting to the hotel was harder than I thought. I was exhausted, but I still had a lot of work to do. So I grabbed my laptop, and I gathered my thoughts.

When I woke the next morning someone was at my door. I opened it, to find Kevin. When I saw him, my heart stopped. He smiled awkwardly, and I ushered him in.
"What do you want Kevin?" I was still sleepy.
"I wanted to say sorry," Kevin told me, and I looked at him.
"Why now?" I asked, as I jumped back into bed.
"Because I can't stop thinking about you," Kevin said.
"Should've said that a long time ago," I told him. "I got a case, so I need some more rest."
"Didn't Dean say no more hunting?" Kevin asked.
"Yes," I whispered. "I had to do something to keep my mind off of you."
  "Oh," Kevin said.
"All my notes are over there," I gestured to the desk. "You can help."  I fell back asleep.
