Twigs crunch, trees fly by, the sky grows darker.

3. Kade

•Chapter 3•

I pulled my golden hair into a messy bun on the top of my head, "So what's the plan?"

"We need to go to the woods," Kaden replied.

I turned around, "are you crazy? Why would I ever to go the place where I DIE in the dream?"

"So we can see what we are up against."

I glared at him jokingly. He put his hands up, "okay, okay, it is a bad idea. But...."

"No Kade... no no no," i started pacing.

"Come on, Bryn..."

I walked back and forth staring at the floor, "If we went there, it could trigger the dream. Actually make it happen," I looked at him trying to make him see things my way.

"It's the only way we can find out what this creature is!" He looked at me and burst into laughter.

I stopped walking, "do you think this is a joke? Have you been pretending this whole time?" He looked at me like a puppy that had eaten a shoe looks at its owner. I took a deep breath trying not to cry. I hadn't gotten any sleep so my emotions were rising too the surface much more than I wanted them to. "You know what? I have to study, can we talk later?" I didn't look at him when I said it but I could tell he regretted laughing. He slowly stood up and walked away. He turned to say something but stopped after he opened his mouth. He continued to the door and closed it quietly behind him. My heart dropped, i shouldn't have snapped. I waited for a minute then ran to the door, "Kade, I'm sorry-" as I opened the door, I saw Kade laying on the side of the road.
