The Hunters Work

A girl is the most fearsome hunter there can be. It just so happens they can also be the cutest to the things that they have to kill. It is part of their, charm. They lure something in and then they kill them without a second thought but this older Hunter is the hardest of them all. But with one thing. She is falling for someone that is undead. Well, she thinks that he is alive. But a closer look at him tells her otherwise. But she is also falling for another Hunter. The rules of a Hunter are very clear, 1 do not fall in love for something that is dead, 2 do not fall in love with another hunter, and 3 kill every vampire and work as hard as you can. Who is she going to choose?

3. The First Day Back To Work

They just left the plane when Hanna's cell phone rang, "Hello." She said and rushed to get away from the crowd so they didn't overhear her and she could hear the voice on the phone.

"There is an update. He is at the airport now. Just be on the lookout for him. He might even be looking at you so be careful." The informat said and hung up just as fast as she had called. All Hunter's were told to keep the conversations on the phone to less than a minute. They had to get used to living without a phone. Hanna put the phone in her pocket and looked around to see someone watching her. It was clear that they were not human so she put on her shy look and looked away blushing from him. He took that just the way that she wanted, an invitation, and walked right over to her.

"Well, what is your name little one?" He asked in a cool voice. She turned her head to him and looked away just as fast. "My - my name is Abalin." She said shyly using a fake name and looking at her feet. He put a finger under her chin to lift up her head towards him.

"Well, Abalin. You have a lovely name. My name is Jesus. How about you walk with me together? I just got here myself from New york," He said coolly. She thought it over in her head and sighed nodding. She even out a small smile at out of him. He put an arm around her shoulders and lead her out of the airport. But when she was just about to leave in a car she was pulled against him and she gasped and looked up at him.

"I can't tell you how happy and hungry I am to taste your blood," He whispered in her ear as his mouth was going for her neck. "I can't tell you how happy I am to put this stake through your heart if you bite her," Was spoken from behind him making his stop and pull her in front of him. She looked at Cody and saw something more than friendship in his eyes. She was shocked to see it there too. "You're a hunter?" He asked startled and looked down at Hanna. Hanna was no longer in his arms but standing next to Cody. She had grabbed his stake and had it at the ready.

"Come with me willingly or I will disable you and take you back to the others like that," She warned him and he looked scared. He put out his arms willingly and looked at her as she took out a pair of handcuffs that were reinforced. Cody watched her and helped when she needed it but otherwise his work was done. As a partner he was only supposed to be there and be ready in case, on of the Hunter's couldn't do anything. That was why everyone at the base knew how to fight off a vampire. Now all that they had to do was get back to the home base with him.

"Cody call the team and have them see if there is another plane here or coming here. I want him back at the base as soon as we can get him there," Hanna told him and grabbed the handcuffs to jerk him to follow. Hanna looked over at Cody to see him pulling out his phone and making the call. She nodded her head but said nothing else.

They were getting started at but it didn't matter they had completed their job as fast as they could and were heading back to the base now. "Hanna, the plane we came on is still here and waiting further instructing from us. We have to get a ride back with them," Cody said as he closed his phone. Hanna nodded and rushed to get to the plane that they just left. It was their luck that he seemed to be at the airport the same time they got there.

They just got off the plane when they were being ushered back to the labs where they ran their tests on them. Hanna wasn't in that part as much because she wasn't part of this. She was the hunting part of it. The people over here were geeks that loved to play with chemicals. Cody was one of them as well but he choice the Hunting part of it as well. He had taken every single course that they had before he made up his mind on what he wanted to do. That was his choice to spend two years more in training but that was him. Hanna had known what she had wanted to do the moment she stepped on to her first hunter's base. They pulled the vampire into the lab part and strapped him down to the table before they took the handcuffs off. Hanna left the cleanness as fast as she could. She wanted to get some training in today. It had been long and boring. Nothing good happened on cases that were too easy. And that was all that they seemed to have. Easy cases. It was no wonder that everyone seemed to have been in the Mess Hall for the big cases that were yelled out.

It was clear to Abner that the Hunter's were never going to stop what they were going to do. But it was also clear that he was going to fight them every chance that he got. It was time to get back to work at changing everything about himself again. He was going to have to get new clothing and a new hairstyle. He was going to have to hide himself a lot better than what he had done. But he knew that it wasn't going to work for long. The Hunter's could find you even behind a disgust themselves. It was the female Hunter's that the vampires had to be careful for. They were the cutest and the badest. They could hurt you like a knife in the chest. They would actually put a knife in your chest after playing a game with you. It was the worst thing that they could do and they do what they need to do.

"Why hello there. Can I help you with anything sir?" A female store person asked him slowly dragging her hand down his stomach. He didn't move but did stop her hand when it went below his comfortable line. Abner nodded to her.

"What would you like help with sir?" She asked in a pur kind of voice. Abner resisted rolling his eyes at her. And looked at her. She wasn't made looking but she had on way too much makeup.

"Yes I would like some bright colored clothing," Abner answered her. Her eyes lighting up she showed him to the mans with bright colors. He nodded and looked at the clothing. He was going to be a while. He had to get a bunch of clothing. We had to change himself so he could fit in more. Today they are always wearing black but he did see some people wearing bright colors and him though that it might work for a while.

The Hunter's would never even notice him wearing his bright colors for a while. But when they get it they will send someone out to find him and try to kill him. But the change in style is going to throw them for a loophole. He knew from instinct that they had his file and everyone else at all of the base's that they had. They were very good at sharing what they knew. They were always prepared as well.

When Abner had finally finished shopping for colorful clothing he went in to get a new hairstyle. He was normal in this little shop. He had his hair redyed so often that he could live there pretty much. This time he asked them to dye his hair purple. It was a color that he had not tried on his head yet. He had seen other's with it purple but they had looked good with it purple. He was thinking about getting a piercing to go with it. It would change his look a lot more.

An hour of waiting for his hair to be done he was done in the shop. It had felt like it had been a long day. He wasn't a day perosn but when things had to get done he was out and around in the day.
