My Poems

2. How I Read A Poem

I slam the poem in the door, waiting for it to yell for mercy. I then dunk it into boiling water to burn.

Then I force the hottest of chilly down its throat. Its face turns red as the chilly itself.

As my car reaches 100km, I run over the poem and leave its remains on the highway.

From high in the sky, I push the poem out of a plane as I watch it fall to its death.

I light the poem on fire as it’s ashes fill the night sky.

I stab it with my pen in frustration since it has been trying to force me into doing schoolwork.
