1. Chapter 1

I ran down the field. Everything around me was dying. I looked at the crops of wheat ahead of me, and when I finally reached them, they were rotten and lifeless. I knew exactly what I was doing; I was betraying Heaven. Betraying God. But up there, that can't be my eternity. I must go to where I belong. I stopped and took a deep breath. There it was, the entrance. As soon as I move this rock aside, I will go through the dark cavern. And I will meet Him. My one and only Lord. I pushed the boulder out of my way. The wind blew me over, off my feet.

"What are you doing, Olympia?!" I heard someone call out.

I turned around. It was Paka, my guardian. Well, she had been my guardian, back on Earth. She died before me and watched over me in Heaven.

"I've had enough, Paka. I know what I want!"

"You!" Paka took a step backwards as I got back on my feet, "You! You filthy sinner! You are a demon!"

"Not yet," I replied, "But soon."

"What about your brother?" She began to cry, "He needs you. He needs you to watch over him, Olympia!"

"You can do it if you're so concerned."

"Do you realise what you are doing, Olympia?" I could tell Paka was trying to be calm, to lure me back to her.

"Olympia, you are not the one I know and love," The wind stopped whirling all of a sudden. She had closed the entrance.

"PAKA! Let me through!"

"My power is stronger than yours, Olympia. You know that Jesus's power is stronger than anyone's. And I am his follower. One of many. You should be too."

"He won't let me back now," I responded.

"Do you know what will happen if you get rejected down there?" She pointed to the boulder. "You'll have nowhere to go."

"It's too late now, Paka. I've made up my mind. I've opened the entrance, and my call has been heard. I have to go. To see."

"You are not the Olympia I know and love," She said again. "No."

I turned around.

"Your wings, Olympia. They will cause you great pain. I have heard about what happens. They will rot and crumble. They will turn black. You will fall. They are turning grey already."

"I hate you." I said.

The wind started swirling again, dragging us apart.

"I love you." She replied. It stopped.

"Go back, Paka."

"Come with me,"

I shook my head. "Get out of my sight. You're too pure. You make me sick." She vanished. I fell to the ground. What would happen when I arrived? God had picked me to be a guardian. Maybe everyone would only see the pureness in me, not the darkness. I have to find out.
