Trapped

Lauren is just an average girl who loves Halloween. Along with her five bestfriends... A'sauni, Belle, Marisol, Teliyah, and Pedro. Well, except for A'sauni and Pedro, they're boys. And although, they we're all too old for trick or treating, they we're all attending Teliyah's Halloween party at her house. They decided on going in a group costume for the competition. With that being said, everyone took a trip to visit the Halloween store, Spirit, at the mall. But what happens when the store closes and only Lauren and her five other bestfriends all get trapped in Spirit... OVERNIGHT? Not only are they trapped with some many freaky "props" and spooky "dolls", but what will happen when they all come to life? So called "Possessed". Will the friends make it through the night? Who will survive and who won't? (Keep reading to find out! And yes this story is for the competition. So please like and favourite. Thanks)

5. Trapped

"Okay okay. I'll stop now... but one of you has to hold my hand." Teliyah said. We all immediately turned toward Pedro, he was her boyfriend after all. "Fine" he whined, but we all knew that's what he wanted since day one. They locked hands as we walked further into the store. "What about this?" Marisol asked as she held up a pretty big, and furry black spider that had some sort of liquid oozing from his mouth. I was the first one to reply, "Gross... I hate spiders." A'sauni began to away, "Shouldn't have told us that." he mumbled under his breath as he examined the stuff just around the corner and kept walking into the opposite direction until he had completely disappeared from the rest of us. "Exactly." Marisol said but looking at Teliyah. "Ugh. Fine get a few of those. Besides, they are pretty revolting" Teliyah allowed with disgust. "Yesss." Marisol said as she grabbed some off of the shelf. We kept walking through the aisle until Belle realized someone was missing, "Hey... where's A'sauni?" she asked in confusion as she turned around and scanned the room within just a few feet from her. "Oh I don't know, he probably just went to go check something out." Pedro replied, remaining calm as he held Teliyah's hand. On the other hand, I was over here, beginning to freak out, "See... this is why I don't go into these type of stores." I began, "Like what if he--AHHHHHHHH!" I was cut off by A'sauni jumping out from the corner with a huge, realistic spider in my face. Marisol, Belle, and Pedro laughed. For some reason the spider had not only intended to scare me, but also scared Teliyah. "Good one." Belle laughed as she high-fived A'sauni, who was as well dying from the laughter. "Right?" he agreed as he high-fived her hand back. "Seriously? Just keep moving." I said as I walked down the aisle and picked something up for Teliyah's party, "Hey, you wanna get this? It's the only thing not horrifying in here." I asked her, as I held up cute little ghost, trying to change the subject. Although, Belle and A'sauni were still back there laughing and reenacting what had happened. Teliyah had let go of Pedro's hand by now, and was walking toward me, "Oh yea sure." she said as well trying to change the subject. "How much is it? Cause I'll only have--" she also was cut off, but not by one of our friends, but by the light switching off. "Uhh... what's happening?" Marisol asked in concern. "I guess we have to start keeping an eye on A'sauni if he's gonna keep playing games like this." Pedro joked even though it was obviously not the time to be doing that. "He didn't actually turn off the store's light." Belle joined in, her voice now closer than before. "Uhh... w-what's tha-at?" I asked as my voice quivered with fear. "What's what?" Pedro asked, yet still sort of calm. At least more calm than me. "That!" I answered, my voice getting louder, as I pointed my finger in front of me, as if they could see where I was pointing at,  to the tall figure I saw just a few yards ahead of me. "Where?!?" Pedro once again asked, but now yelling at me with frustration. "Straight ahead!" I yelled back. I heard his feet shuffle lightly as he turned, completely clueless. "Umm... it k-kind of looks like a..." Marisol said as she had just seen the random figure standing straight up. "A CLOWN!!!" Teliyah screamed beginning to cry in what she hopes is Pedro's arms. Which thankfully it was. "Guys, it's not a clown. All that happened is that the light went out. It'll come back on in a few minutes. I swear. If anything it's just A'sauni trying to trick us again." Belle said, attempting to assure us it was nothing to worry about, but I could almost hear her voice shaking with fear. "Seriously guys? I'm right here." a familiar voice said not too far from me. "Wait A'sauni? If that's you then... w-what's that?" I asked, as well, beginning to cry. "I told you guys! It's a clown!" Teliyah said through her own tears. "Ugh. It's not a clown." A'sauni argued but was quickly proved incorrect when we heard the sound of a creepy horn, that would only belong to a clown. "Yep, it's a clown." Marisol said. "Run!" I demanded as we all sprinted towards the door, although it was pretty much pitch black. That would explain why Pedro and Marisol both fell along the way. Even though it was a challenge searching for the exit, we eventually got there. "Sh*t. It's locked." Belle said tugging on the doors. "Well what are we going to do?" Pedro asked, clearly agitated. "We're gonna miss the party, that's what we're going to do." A'sauni answered with an attitude and sighed. "We have bigger problems than that stupid party!" I screamed at A'sauni, but regret it the second it slipped out of my mouth and once I realized I had offended Teliyah. "Hey!" she said. "This is not the place to be doing this, and certainly not the time!" Belle yelled just as everyone else did. The creepy clown horn music was no longer just background music. The sound was getting closer. The CLOWN was getting closer.
