Trapped

Lauren is just an average girl who loves Halloween. Along with her five bestfriends... A'sauni, Belle, Marisol, Teliyah, and Pedro. Well, except for A'sauni and Pedro, they're boys. And although, they we're all too old for trick or treating, they we're all attending Teliyah's Halloween party at her house. They decided on going in a group costume for the competition. With that being said, everyone took a trip to visit the Halloween store, Spirit, at the mall. But what happens when the store closes and only Lauren and her five other bestfriends all get trapped in Spirit... OVERNIGHT? Not only are they trapped with some many freaky "props" and spooky "dolls", but what will happen when they all come to life? So called "Possessed". Will the friends make it through the night? Who will survive and who won't? (Keep reading to find out! And yes this story is for the competition. So please like and favourite. Thanks)

2. The bus ride

I practically ran down the stairs and sprinted through the living room, heading for the front door. But before I could make it out of the house without question from anyone, my mom stopped me since after all I actually probably scared the death out of her with all the ruckus. "Hey! Where do you think you're going without breakfast? That school bus doesn't arrive until 8:00, yah know?! It's only 7:34. Get your butt back in here, Missy!"

I was halfway out of the front door by now, but reluctantly backed up into the house and yelled back, "Yea I know mom! I'll meet the bus around the block. And I'm not hungry!" I slammed the door behind me, leaving my mother in shock.

"Fine. More food for me!" she said as she stuffed her face with what was my doughnut. Meanwhile, I sprinted down the side walk as the cool breeze brushed against my face. Yet again, I smiled once I spotted the neighbor's Halloween decoration. Something about this holiday made me joyful.

Surprisingly, I had caught the bus closer to my house then I had originally planned. Time passes by when all you can think about is that Halloween party I'd be attending to later this evening. That and, I have already ran almost three blocks. Thankfully, the bus driver, Mr. Lester, saw my familiar face and opened the doors for me to get on the bus. I stepped up the stairs of the bus, holding onto the rail, and walked all the way to the back of the bus where my friends and I always sat.

Once I finally reached the back of the bus, I met up with my friends, Belle, Marisol, Teliyah, and Pedro. We only had to pick up A'sauni next, well along with all these other random kids I never seemed to care about. I had then sat down in an empty seat infront of Belle and Marisol, and beside Teliyah and Pedro from across the bus. I don't even think Teliyah and Pedro noticed me, like always, they were chatting away the time.

About a block later of my presence, Marisol acknowledged my presence. I don't blame them, they didn't expect me to be so early arriving on the bus, anyways. "Oh hey what's up? Wait, why is your face so pale?" her face turning from excitement to concern. "Yeah... see I kinda ran about three blocks to get here." I replied, now turning around in my seat. Belle looked up and smiled, and stuck her face back into her Harry Potter book, she had to have read it about five times already, but it didn't matter. It was an obsession of hers.

Pedro turned in our direction and jumped into the conversation, "Oh yay...Lauren's here." he commented sarcasticly with me, "You coming to the party?" Teliyah as well faced our direction, waiting for my answer, since I guess she didn't see my response, and neither did Pedro.

"Yeah she's coming." Marisol answered, "And by the way... Lauren can I have a ride?"

I turned back towards her, "Yeah of course. I'll pick you up at 9:00?" I looked over at Teliyah, my face almost if asking, 'Is that okay?'

"Sure, that works. Party can start around that time, I guess. Oh yeah right... I almost forgot to tell you, It's an open invite. We need more people." She said just as A'sauni walked down the aisle of the bus and sat beside me.

"Hear that A'sauni? Invite some more people to the party." I told him, filling him in on the conversation.

"Alright." He agreed, plugging his ears with his white earbuds.

And off we were to middle school, the only thing in our way of a thrillingly eventful night.
