Trapped

Lauren is just an average girl who loves Halloween. Along with her five bestfriends... A'sauni, Belle, Marisol, Teliyah, and Pedro. Well, except for A'sauni and Pedro, they're boys. And although, they we're all too old for trick or treating, they we're all attending Teliyah's Halloween party at her house. They decided on going in a group costume for the competition. With that being said, everyone took a trip to visit the Halloween store, Spirit, at the mall. But what happens when the store closes and only Lauren and her five other bestfriends all get trapped in Spirit... OVERNIGHT? Not only are they trapped with some many freaky "props" and spooky "dolls", but what will happen when they all come to life? So called "Possessed". Will the friends make it through the night? Who will survive and who won't? (Keep reading to find out! And yes this story is for the competition. So please like and favourite. Thanks)

9. Receiving overwhelming news

Before we could all reach the door, there was a loud and abrupt knock. We looked at each other with fear, and remembered the closet. We had to survive. "Alright, open the door." A'sauni began, "Yo if it's that f**king clown, I swear, I will go off on him." A'sauni said as he held his fist up, ready to fight. I giggled, in my head. It's never a right time to laugh when it's only been within five minutes of seeing dead bodies locked away in a closet. Belle cracked the door open, with A'sauni right behind her. Unexpectedly, Teliyah and Pedro came rushing in. "Shut the door, shut the door, shut the door." Teliyah squealed as we heard a disturbing noise following right behind them. "CLOSE THE D**N DOOR!" Pedro yelled. Belle pushed the door shut in a hurry, as told. 'What the h*ll is going on here?!?" I asked, obviously alarmed. "Yea. Weren't you guys supposed to be out there looking for Marisol?" A'sauni asked concerned. Belle rolled her eyes, "Even though she's dead..." she mumbled under her breath, but we all caught up on what she was saying. "Belle was right all along." Pedro said, which made Belle smirk. In her head, she was always right, even though sometimes she knew she was wrong. So, for her, it was nice being acknowledged for once. "What do you mean?" A'sauni asked. "We mean," Teliyah jumped into the conversation, "Marisol is actually dead." We all gasped for air. This news was devastating. Although, there was a part of us that knew she wouldn't make it, we didn't want to even think that our bestfriend is actually dead. Tears filled my eyes instantly, "I-I need to s-sit down." I stuttered as I walked over toward the couch and took a seat, along with Teliyah and A'sauni. "Guys." Belle began harshly, "This isn't exactly to time for sobbing." she said as she crossed her arms and stood by the door. Tears rolled down my face, they were already out and there was no stopping the water works now. I rested my head on Teliyah's shoulder and cried my heart out. "Ugh, Belle. Don't you think that's kind of rude?" Teliyah snapped as she wrapped her arms around me in comfort. A'sauni sat on the other side of Teliyah, in shock. I think he accidently allowed one single tear come rolling down. Just then, there was a screeching noise coming from right outside the door. Belle jumped, "See?" she said as her eyes looked up at Teliyah, then to the door, then finally back at Teliyah. "Come on Belle." Pedro said, now walking over to a small, faded green chair, that sat right beside the couch, the side closer to me. "One of your bestfriends, if not your main bestfriend, just died. How can you not be depressed right now?" he asked Belle. Apparently, she looked in my direction. "Because I'm just not a baby like some of us." Obviously Belle was referring to me. I was probably the most emotional one at the moment, I mean Teliyah and Pedro had already took in this information well before and had plenty of time to sink in this devastating information. "Are you being serious right now, Belle?' Teliyah once again snapped. I had heard their entire conversation by now, "Well because I actually have a heart, unlike you." I said to Belle as I lifted my head off of Teliyah's shoulder. "Well damn." A'sauni stated. I groaned and laid back on the couch and looked up at the ceiling. "Ok look, I'm sure this is overwhelming for everyone right now. We all just need to calm down. I know that what we all want to do right now is just sit here and grief, but we can't do that. We must find a way out." Teliyah said, keeping everyone from tearing each other apart. "She's right." Pedro agreed. "Oh wow, Pedro. You'll listen if it comes from your girlfriend, when I've been over here saying that all along." Belle said, still standing by the door as her volume raises. "The point is, that we can't just stay in this break room for the entire night." A'sauni said. We all eventually made our way to the door, with our flashlights and ready to take on the remainder of the night.
