Lauren is just an average girl who loves Halloween. Along with her five bestfriends... A'sauni, Belle, Marisol, Teliyah, and Pedro. Well, except for A'sauni and Pedro, they're boys. And although, they we're all too old for trick or treating, they we're all attending Teliyah's Halloween party at her house. They decided on going in a group costume for the competition. With that being said, everyone took a trip to visit the Halloween store, Spirit, at the mall. But what happens when the store closes and only Lauren and her five other bestfriends all get trapped in Spirit... OVERNIGHT? Not only are they trapped with some many freaky "props" and spooky "dolls", but what will happen when they all come to life? So called "Possessed". Will the friends make it through the night? Who will survive and who won't? (Keep reading to find out! And yes this story is for the competition. So please like and favourite. Thanks)

16. Epilogue

That bright and early Saturday morning, when we all finally escaped Spirit, passed. And it was now the following day, Sunday around noon. Not only me, but as well as A'sauni, Belle, Teliyah, and Pedro all got dropped off at Marisol's house, even though at least half of us were grounded for life. Since none of us could even speak Spanish fluently, and that's pretty much all that Marisol's parents could speak or at least fluently as well, we just had to let the ambulance take her to the hospital and they would figure things out then. But thankfully, Marisol was already home, in bed and feeling much better, or at least she was awake by now. Her brother had allowed us up to her room to check up on her, but just for a few minutes since she was about to have to eat dinner. Which I found pretty ridiculous, since we all know she's probably snacking in her room right now. We nudged her bedroom door open and peeked our heads into the room. She was propped up on her bed reading a book. "Oh hey." she put her book done as she said in her somewhat normal voice, but you could tell that if there ever was a demon inside of her, it was probably gone by now. She was no longer possessed, we finally had our best friend back completely. I sat down at the end of her bed with the rest of my friends following behind and closing the door. "How are you feeling?" I asked looking down at her book. She shrugged her shoulders, "Eh... better." Marisol said. "Well you certainly look better than before. Like no lie, you had solid, dark, black eyes and they were seriously looking into my soul, I swear. Like when you were chasing me and sh*t." A'sauni laughed, but still seemed a bit frightened. I looked at A'sauni then back at Marisol, "Wait... I think we were on the phone during that." I laughed after realizing that was the heavy breathing and screaming and everything I had heard during the phone call with A'sauni. "Speaking of phones..." I began, "I think I left in the closet that the clown locked me in for literally hours. Can y'all like come with me? I really don't wanna go alone to that store any more, or pretty much any store in matter of fact." I pleaded. "My parents will kill me if I go back there." Belle said. "Yeah, I agree. It just wouldn't be the best idea." Teliyah said, taking Belle's side. "But please." I pleaded once more. "We'll be in and out." I tried to convince them once more. "Fine. But we're gonna have to make it quick. I have to be home in an hour." A'sauni said with the rest of the group nodding in agreement. "Alright... are you in Marisol?" I asked turning back at in her direction. "Sure, I think my mom might be okay with it. All I told her was that the school bus got in a car accident when we were on the way home to Teliyah's house. So she has absolutely no idea." Marisol said as she hopped out of bed, slipped on her converse and headed downstairs with the rest of us. "Hey mom! Can you take us to the mall just for one minute? I promise it won't take long." Marisol yelled as she threw her hair in a ponytail, tagging along down the stairs behind everyone else. "Por supuesto" or in our language, "Sure" her mom got up off the couch, threw on a jacket and grabbed the car keys. Meanwhile, A'sauni, Belle, Pedro, Teliyah and I all waited outside. As soon as Marisol and her mother came outside, they unlocked the car and we all jumped in and mainly just chatted about the night before the entire ride to the Mall. By the time we arrived, Spirit was about to close so we all removed ourselves from the car, said bye to Marisol's mom, and raced into the store. At the counter, we spotted an older woman, possibly in her sixties, and she was wearing the same outfit that the men wore. An orange shirt with the letters, "Spirit" in black. It was surprising that this store has already hired new employees. She apparently was waiting on another customer, which I just had to interrupt. "Hi excuse me, Ma'am." I began as I walked up to the front desk with the rest of my friends following behind. "Yes, how may I help you? The entire store is half off, by the way." the lady informed me since it was now after Halloween. I looked at my friends, then back at her. "Um actually, I can't really explain anything, but I left my phone in a closet back in your break room." I said hoping she would let me in even though I was a total stranger. "Oh yeah, don't worry about that honey. I saw everything on the news, you can't right back there, but we'll be closing in a minute so make it quick please. Thank you." she allowed. At first I was surprised, but then I questioned why I didn't expect it. I headed back towards the break room with A'sauni, Belle, Marisol, Pedro, and Teliyah right behind me. We reached the break room door but I stopped my friends from coming any further. "Y'all just wait here, I'll be right back." I said as I entered the room and walked towards the closet to receive my phone. I turned the knob and opened the door to smell... nothing. Somehow, the decaying bodies scent was gone. It smelled completely normal. Pedro peeked his head into the room, "Hurry up. Their about to close." he demanded and leaned back up against the walk. I searched the closet, looking my phone, but it was nowhere to be seen. I had thought it would be in plain sight, but I was wrong. My eyes shifted to the left of the floor where the box that had fell on my head when Marisol was attacking me laid. It's also the box that the gun had scattered onto the floor from. I lifted the box off of the floor to see my phone laying under it. "Aw yes." I mumbled to myself. I got to my feet and ran over to the break room door where my friends were patiently waiting for me. "You ready?" Teliyah asked. "Yep." I smiled as I held up my phone for all to see. "Then let's get going." Belle said as she rushed us towards the door to exit the store. I pulled Belle aside, still walking with everyone else though. "Hey... I just wanted to apologize about everything. You know, that happened the other day... About Marisol." I apologized. She looked me in the eyes. "No no... your fine. It should be me that apologized. I was acting like a total b**ch. All I cared about was surviving. And I'm so very sorry if I hurt your feelings." she said in a calm voice. "We're both b**ches but our friendship relies on it. Sorry again. I won't say anything to her about it, although you did come through for Marisol when you could have got yourself into jail but standing up for her and literally shooting some guy. And which, we weren't even a hundred percent positive he was guilty of anything." We both laughed but came to a complete silence when all of a sudden, the lights flickered off. My friends and I all looked at each other in disbelief. I smiled and said, "Well here we go again."
