All The Things I Never Said

If I'm being honest, I don't even know what I'm doing right now. I just know that there are things that I've never said, and that I really, really ought to.

These are all the things I never said.

4. Seeing Him

I'm sitting in my maths class just before it starts, drumming my fingers on the desk, when it happens. He walks through the door, flashing me a grin as he strides past to his seat right behind me. Immediately, his friend from earlier runs over, giggling in her stupid little voice that never fails to set me on edge.

"Hi!" she squeals, and I can hear the simpering smile she's plastered on her face. "How are you?"

"I'm fine," he stutters. "How are you?"

"Oh, I'm great," she says with a melodramatic tone that implies she is anything but. "You know, just failing maths and stuff, but hey what can you do?" She barks a laugh and I cringe, pulling my stuff out of my bag.

"That's, uh, great," he says with a nervous, awkward smile that looks nothing short of gorgeous when he wears it upon his face.

"Also, I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie with me on Saturday? It's that new one that comes out on Friday, I thought it'd be cute."

"Um," he stutters. "I guess. I'll, uh, have to check if I'm free but, yeah. I'll see."

"Awesome!" she squeals as I cringe. As she walks past me, her arm knocks into my jitters, sending some of them flying to the floor. She smirks. "Oh, sorry!" she simpers, biting her lip and widening her brown eyes. Leaning down to help me pick it up, she whispers, "Bitch."

I do my best to ignore it. Just like always.
