8. Another Unexpected Visitor
I watch as Andy walks up and gets told he has dark blue, black and light yellow and I hear a slight squeal behind me.Then they call Justice up. She takes her gem out and sets it on the scope.
“You have… Dark green, with specks of gold and brown.” The teacher says and everyone cheers. I hear in the back of my head Does this work? Justice says. I give her a slight nod as she walks back. You girl, in the back. Sydney. She walks up and cofindendly puts her gem in to find out she has dark green with specks of white and gold. I can hear Justice and her snicker as they walk back. They call up Liberty. She gets orange with specs of blue and green. Then they call me up. I walk up slowly and reluctantly. I put my gem in, and wait for stuff to appear. I focus it and still nothing.
“Oh that's ok. You must have three of the elements or two perhaps. Since it’s clear you probably have air and water. Let’s zoom in, shall we?” The teacher says as zooming and focusing the microscope.
“There it is.” He says.
I look at the board and see specs of purple. He gives me my gem back and I walk back and pull up what I have. Invisibility. Yay. I think. I try it and I see Liberty look at me and her eyes get wide. She nods and mouths that it’s working.
“Cool,” I mouth.
We get dismissed to our second class. I have weaponry second. I head down the hall to weaponry to find that they moved the class all the way to the other side of this…‘school’. I heave a heavy sigh and then hear a rustle come from the other side of the abandoned classroom. I walk in farther to find a closet and someone. Or something, I think, kicking the door. I slowly open the door. And to my horror, there sits Jewel bound with rope and mouth duct taped. I almost scream. She has a look of terror in her face.
“Don’t worry.” I say with a slight wavering in my voice. “I’ll get you out.” I open up the bag on my shoulder and pull out a pocket knife and start to saw away the ropes. I finally finish after what seems hours (like 5 minutes). I pull off the duct tape from her mouth and she takes a gasp. She jumps up and hugs me tightly.
“Trin-nity!” She says during her wavering breaths and tears streaming down her face. “I was s-so scared and I-I thought no on-ne would find m-me.”
“Don’t worry, you're safe now.” I say. Then think none of us are safe. I pull her up and walk her out of the classroom. I pull up my map and take her to the nurse's office. I tell the nurse that she got trapped in a closet in an abandoned room by some mean boys. She takes her by the hand and I tell her to please let me take her to our room. The nurse agrees. I take her up and see by the time we’re there they have added a extra room for her. I take her in and set her down on the bed.
“Ok Jewel. Tell me everything that happened after we disappeared.”
