The letter

Halle Ashford is an abused, mistreated, scared, shy 11 year old girl that has an abusive mother and no other family. Her father left her when she was 3, and she has no siblings. She can change her appearance at will, which is Satin's work, according to her mother. Her bedroom is the cupboard under the sink, and she's only fed about once a day. Life couldn't get worse for her, until a letter arrives for her. What does it mean? Is she finally free? And what is Hogwarts?

5. So THEY'RE the Golden Trio

After an hour of waking, two bags full of school supplies, and sore feet, we stopped by an ice cream parlor to get some (delicious) ice cream. Once I had finished my second bowl, I held my stomach and cried,

"That is the best tasting thing I have ever tasted in my entire life!"

"I'm glad you liked it." Katie laughed. I smiled and whipped off some extra ice cream on the top of my lips.

"So, now will you tell me who the Golden Trio is?" I asked, determined to know who they were before we left Fiagon, no, Dragon, no, Diafon, no! Well, the alley. I can't remember what it's called. Oh well.

"Yes. Well, I'm not really that good at stories, but here goes.

Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger were three different people that made up one of the most famous teams ever, the Golden Trio.

When people thought of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, they thought of the Golden Trio. What nobody thought of was that maybe they were just three teenagers who went through more than most people their age.

They faced terrors that no one should have ever faced. They looked danger right in the eye. And yet, they survived. Many witches and wizards had asked themselves how the three were able to survive.

The answer was simple. They had each other.

The faced he-who-must-not-be-named, they fought death eaters, fought the loss of the ones they love most. But they made it through.

He-who-must- oh screw it. Voldemort...." there were a few gasps.

"I'm telling a story." She snapped. "And plus he's dead. Finally. I swear that guy was invincible. Either way, Voldemort tried to kill all muggles, muggle-borns, and all those who thought all were equals. He hated muggles for reasons only few know, and one night he targeted Harry Potter. It was told in a prophecy that he would be able to defeat him. But Harry's mother's love cast a shield more powerful then any magic onto Harry, and he was safe up until the age of 17.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione became great friends throughout their time at Hogwarts, and when they were 17, they defeated Voldemort once and for all.

That pretty much sums it up, and there are many stories within that one, but that's who they were." She finished up.

I stared in aw.

"Wow. They were awesome. Do you think I'll get friends like that at Hogwarts?" I asked.

"Definitely kiddo. Your a real nice kid." She said.

"Hey, we need to get to the Ministry for you to talk to my sister about what to do with you." Katie pointed out.

"Oh ya." I said in a glum voice. That didn't sound as fun as this last hour had been."

((I got part of this story from . I suggest you look at it, it's really good.))
