27. Chapter Twenty Seven

Natalia's POV

"That's what you're wearing?"

I looked down to my outfit, "what's so wrong with it?"

"It's... plain. Ugly,"

"Okay, may I just say that you're in my house, eating my chicken, sleeping with my friend and you have the nerve to say my dress is ugly?"

"It was only my opinion," Sophia said.

"She's just scared for tonight. Somebody is a little jealous about me seeing Christina again."

"You dated her for a year, Nick, I think I have a right to be jealous."

"Yeah, but I don't like her anymore."

"You'd be surprised, Nick. She seriously changed. Like, a lot."

"Thank you, Talia. You're a great help in this."

"Sorry,"

"Why are you so worried anyways?" Jason asked, sitting on the bed with Tommy in his lap. The baby reached for Jason's phone, which he successfully took in his small hands.

"Because, well, don't tell anyone I said this but, Christina is, like, real. And I'm obviously not."

"Really? Wow, I would've never noticed that one," I said, sitting up.

"Okay, you know what, I'm not gonna sit here and be tormented."

"Tormented-"

"Talia," Jason warned.

"You don't know what tormented is like. You don't know what it's like to be bullied for your whole life and be told your fat, to the point of starvation. You haven't been literally shunned from your family because you went against their religion by having a child. You haven't had any of your personal life and information blasted by a bitch to the whole school. You wanna talk about torment? Try living in my life for one day."

"You try living in mine!"

"I would love to! Sophia, I envy you. You're absolutely gorgeous but you hide it with all that makeup and nose jobs. I would love to step in your shoes for a day and see how it is to be beautiful and have all the guys run after you. Have the body of a model. Not have to take fourteen million pills every day. I would love that. Endless supply of money. Endless supply of clothes. I'm limited to the clothes I have, to money, even. I can't spend money on myself because we simply can't support ourselves. My own kid is living on money from his grandmother. To be in your shoes would be a blessing."

"Alright, ladies... and Nick. We gotta get going." Jackson said.

"Hey! I'm a man!"

"In what life?"

"You're a dick."

"Hey! No cussing in front of the baby. We talked about this,"

"Jason, you dumbass!" Nick yelled.

"Hey! That goes for you too!"

Jason's POV

"Nervous, man?" I asked putting my arm around Nick's shoulder.

"Nah, not really."

"She is your ex. And I mean, she did really change. She got pretty, should I say,"

"Don't tell Sophie that. She'll go ape shit."

"She goes ape shit on everything."

"Got that right. She's... clingy."

"Damn, this place is nice." I whispered.

"Right? Christina texted me a picture of it when they booked it. It's gorgeous." Talia said. She locked her hand with mine as we entered the venue, which made everyone's eyes turn to us.

"I'm so glad you could make it! Abi and Joely will be so happy!" Christina exclaimed, hugging Talia.

"Of course, you look gorgeous. California is doing you well," Talia smiled. I never understood how she does that; make small talk like that.

Christina turned her head to Nick and smiled, "I'm so happy you made it, Nick."

"Yeah, I got dragged here,"

"Well, still, thanks for coming." She smiled, hugging him.

"Talia, we have so much to talk about, so, come on! The party doesn't start for another couple minutes."

"How was the hug?" I asked, sitting at a table with Nick, Sophia and Jackson.

"It was just a hug, Jase. Nothing more, nothing less,"

"Hug my ass. She's still in to you. She doesn't stand a chance," Sophia said.

"What is your problem? The whole ride over you were being bitchy, even at Talia's house."

"My problem is you're sitting at your ex girlfriend's sister's birthday party, who still obviously has feelings for you."

"No she doesn't, Soph."

"I can see it in her eyes! She's definitely trying something on you tonight,"

"Okay, you need to stop. I trust you, why can't you trust me?"

"Because you're a weaker version of Jason, babe. You mess around with girls, that's why."

"Alright. You're here as my plus one, I can take that away."

"Do it, I dare you."

"Okay, leave," my jaw dropped.

"What?"

"You just said I screw around with girls. You think I wanna be with someone who says that? Who doesn't trust me? Both my friends have girlfriends and I see their relationship compared to ours, and you know what? We don't have that. So, I'm done. You can leave."

"You are not breaking up with me,"

"The words just left my mouth, sweetheart. Call a cab."

"You're a dick, Nick!"

"Glad you finally realized it! Go fuck someone else!"

Natalia's POV

"Why did I just see Sophia running out of here with a deadly look on her face?" I asked.

"Oh, Nick just broke up with her,"

"What?!" Amber and I yelled.

"That explains why she lunged herself at me before giving me the finger. What a classy girl." Christina said.

I looked down, as I remembered Christina's words from only a couple minutes before. "Seeing him tonight, I still like him and I don't know what to do."

Watching Abi and Joely dance with their father brought tears to my eyes, especially when their dad started crying. It makes me realize how much I wanted a sweet sixteen like this.

"We should've had a girl," I sighed, putting my head on Jason's shoulder.

"What?"

"I want to give someone a party like this."

"Even if we wanted to, we couldn't."

"Why?"

"Well, first, we have a boy. Second, we're two young teenagers in college trying to get through the semester. We wouldn't have enough money for a party like this."

I looked over to Christina and Nick, "what do you think they're talking about?"

"Who knows,"

"Christina said she still had feelings for Nick."

"Oh, I know. He still likes her too."

"How do you know?"

"Well, Sophia was his, I guess, girlfriend slash screw around buddy. And for him to get rid of that, there must be a special girl."

"Come dance! Don't just stand there!" Amber yelled, pulling both Jason and I onto the dance floor.

"Thank you so much for coming tonight!" Abi yelled over the music.

"Of course! You look amazing!" She smiled before walking away to greet more people.

"Look at all these girls here and all their short dresses. It's disgusting." Amber said.

"Are you eyes wandering?" I asked, looking up to Jason.

"I only got eyes for one girl."

"Are you guys enjoying the party?" Christina asked, joining our small circle.

"Hell yeah!" Amber yelled.

"So, what happened with nick?"

"Oh, you know, we talked," I looked at her. "Okay, we wanted to get back together, but I'm in the east coast and he's here. It wouldn't work out,"

"And? Jackson's going overseas for years and I'll still be here. Long distance relationships are good, Chris. And the sex is great."

"Okay, I didn't need to know that part," Christina said.

"What would you do, Talia?"

"If what?"

"If Jason lived in the east coast and you lived here."

"If I really love him, which I do, I would make it work. But if I didn't I wouldn't bother.

"Okay."

By the end of the night, Christina, Nick, Jason, Amber, Jackson and I all ended up in the hotel the family was staying at. All in the same room. The girls shared the bed and the boys got the floor or the couch. Of course, them being babies complained about it but it ended with them, still, on the floor.

Nick and Christina decided to get back together, despite being far away from each other. Personally, Nick is so much happier with Christina than he was in Sophia. Christina is more trustworthy and honest with Nick and Sophia, well, I've seen her with other guys besides Nick.

At the end of the party, the girls all paid their respects to everyone and thanked them for coming to their party, which was absolutely amazing. In all honesty, I'm so jealous they got to have a party and I didn't get to have one, but you know, I got to experience it through Abi and Joely and I got to have an amazing night.

"Who ripped ass?" Jason asked.

"Oh my god," I covered my nose with my whole hand.

"That's disgusting! Guys, we're all sharing a room!" Christina yelled.

"Nick, was it you?" I asked.

"Mine don't smell that bad,"

"Mine smell, but nothing came out of me,"

"Who was it? It's getting worse!" I yelled.

"It must've been one of you," Jackson said.

"Amber!" I yelled.

"Guilty,"

"Aye! That's my girl!" Jackson yelled.

"Don't smell under the blanket!" Christina yelled, covering her nose.

"Am, that's really gross. Like, it smells so bad," Nick said. Amber just smiled.

"Smells worse than Tommy's." Jason said.

"Oh, no. Tommy's are absolutely disgusting. But he poops after farting, but his smell way worse."

"I think I shit myself,"

"Amber!"
