33. Chapter Thirty Three

Hi guys!! I wanted to let ya'll know that my next update for this book will be on Valentine's Day!! I chose that day specifically because I wanted to make a chapter on where Talia and Jason officially celebrate Valentine's Day to themselves! Even though it's past the holiday in the book, it's going to work out perfectly. So, keep your eyes out for that update because I can already feel it's going to be great.

As you all have noticed, my updating hasn't been frequently and I know in the past I've had excuses but this time, I really don't have any. I've been focusing so much on my school work lately that I really don't have any time to write. I wake up at six, Monday through Friday, go to school from seven fifteen to two fifteen. Occasionally stay after school for drama club until about four. Come home, do my homework which can take me from ten minutes to almost two hours. I eat dinner and then by eight, nine at night, I'm exhausted and falling asleep. So, I'm so sorry for not updating. Trust me, I've tried to fit updating in my schedule in-between classes, my lunch period, any free time I can get really. But I'm going to have a couple days where I'm free, so I'm going to be updating hopefully more.

That's all for this authors note. You'll be seeing a Valentine's Day chapter on Tuesday-Wednesday. And also, look out for somethings about myself in that chapter. Possibly the way I feel about Valentine's Day and maybe I'll add a little description of myself in there. Have a great night/day/afternoon!!

Natalia's POV

I flicked my pencil in my fingers as I listened to my professor lecture about god knows what this time. Every week, my professor calls for a lecture in the lecture hall which, sometimes is good because we get out of the classroom in which we always stay in. With only twenty desks and thirty chairs for a class that has about sixty people in. The lecture room has a wraparound bench where we can sit and it goes from the ceiling down to the floor. But at times, this lecture class is extremely boring. No moving, talking, phones, laptops. Only paper and a pen and occasionally a textbook, but even that's rare.

You know in those shows, like Drake and Josh and the teacher in their class was in such a good mood one day because she had a new boyfriend and she was actually. But then she ended up becoming a total bitch again? That's my professor. At the beginning of the semester he was the sweetest old man, cared for everyone, talked, he was nice. But once we came back from winter break and into the second semester, he became a bitter old man. Turns out, his wife filed for a divorce on, wait for it, Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day. My favorite holiday to celebrate. Not only is it the day I went into labor with Tommy, but it was the day I got to spend with Jason and have him with no distractions. But this year, we didn't do anything. We set up for Tommy's birthday party and we didn't have time for it this time. Jason still got me chocolate and all the mushy things every girl wants but I wasn't the same.

Amber actually ended up calling me on Valentine's Day, even though she was home at the time and she cried over the phone to me about how she misses Jackson on days like that and how she's alone and she needs him there with him. But really, he's only been gone almost four months and I don't know about her, but I talk to Jackson almost everyday.

Jason was released from the hospital last week and since being released, no football. For a very long time. He fought me for days on the decision but after calling his old Coach from high school, he convinced Jason to saving his energy now so he'll be better for when he starts playing.

As for me, well, I've been off my pills for a couple days now. And no, it's not just because I haven't been taking them. My doctor took me off of them, both of them, actually. No more anxiety pills and no more weight gaining pills. And I'm thankful only my roommate, Ronnie found out about my pills and why I take them and she was so understanding about keeping it a secret.

I walked out of class with one of my friend from class, having causal chats about who knows what, really. She started the conversation about our upcoming test in the class we just got released from.

"We didn't get to talk about it, but what did your boyfriend do for Valentine's Day?" Carla asked as we made our way down the hall.

"We didn't get to celebrate. What about you?"

"Oh, I hate Valentine's Day. You know, most single people don't like that day. So my friend and I got Burger King and ice cream and watched sappy love movies all day."

"My friends back at home used to do that. Before we had boyfriends,"

"It's not as bad as it seems but it is a little lonely. But it's okay," I nodded and opened the door to the outside.

"Jase? What are you doing here?" I asked as we ran into Jason at the front of the building with a bouquet of flowers in his arms.

"Oh god, are you proposing again?" I asked.

"Check your Instagram," he smiled, stepping back from me. I pulled my phone out of my bag and opened the app.

Summers22 tagged you in a photo.

Summers22: We didn't get to do this three weeks ago and it killed me every single day since then. Seeing you so sad because we couldn't celebrate Valentine's Day almost killed me. So, here I am today, standing on my crutches with a bouquet of red roses, looking like a fool waiting for you to come out of class. Although it's a month after Valentine's Day, Natalia Grey, will you do me the honor of being my valentine on this Tuesday afternoon in sunny, cold Manhattan? I love you so much baby, can't wait to see you.

"Jason, you didn't have to do this," I smiled, putting my arms around his neck while his arms stayed on his crutches.

"I wanted to. And anyways, Valentine's Day last year was great."

"You were flipping out the whole night, Jase."

"What did you want me to do? Anyways, I have the day planned out and since you have no more classes for today and your classes were cancelled tomorrow I decided maybe a little... Valentine's Day sleepover,"

"A Valentine's Day sleepover? Really?" He nodded.

"You're spending way too much time with Kaitlyn," I laughed.

"Yes, but she did help me plan this out. So, come on, we have a ride to catch."

When I think of horse and carriage rides I think of the olden days. The Amish. And Cinderella. Except we're not in a pumpkin and we aren't royalty. I brushed my hair back with my hand as the breeze hit my face, swooping my hair all over my face.

"How did you know this was my ideal date?" I asked, leaning into Jason's side. He smiled and put his arm over my puffy jacket and rubbed the jacket up and down, as if it was my actual arm.

"I have my ways," I looked at him.

"Okay, I read your journal. But your mom allowed me to do so. So, blame her,"

"You talked to my mom? I thought we weren't talking to her these days?"

"We're not. But I had to get somewhere with this and I wanted to make this special and that was the only way to do it,"

"I don't think words can describe how much I love you," Jason kissed the top of my head and continued to rub my jacket up and down. He looked out at Central Park in amazement. It's funny how I've lived in New York my whole life and I've never been to Central Park.

"What else do you have planned for today?" I asked, looking to my boyfriend next to me.

He smiled and looked down to me, "you'll have to find out."

"I can't wait any longer."

"Guess you're gonna have to."

"This was our first real date," I whispered, sitting on the blanket in Brooklyn Park. Jason nodded and sat next to me.

"Is that a tent? Jase, you really set this up, didn't you?"

"And there's a mini battery operated heater in the tent too. And a bunch of blankets there too. And a change of clothes."

"Oh, Jase. This is amazing," I smiled, watching as he opened the basket up. He took out two plates with foiled wrapped around them and handed one to me and one for himself.

"I figured since it's so cold out, we could use some... relaxers," he pulled out two beer cans and a bottle of wine.

"Wine in paper cups," I laughed, remembering the first time we came out here.

"Cheers to that," he smiled.

"Jase this is... absolutely amazing. A little cold, but amazing. I don't even know what to say," I said, moving closer to Jason. He wrapped his arms around me and held me in between his legs with my head propped on his chest.

"You don't have to say anything, baby. This is our own little Valentine's Day. Our real one this time. Not one interrupted by your water breaking or by birthday parties."

"Speaking of that, let's not be risky teenagers tonight, yeah?"

"Oh, don't worry about that." I nodded and kissed his jaw.

"Just think, baby, this time next month you'll be nineteen,"

"Don't remind me," I groaned.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked, looking up to him.

"Of course,"

"Where do you see us in the future?"

He looked down to me and smiled, "in a big house and happy. How about you?"

"In a big house with a lot of windows. Maybe in Jersey. With three kids. And all of them are athletes. Tommy would play football like you and the others will do soccer on the weekends and maybe the girl will do gymnastics and soccer. And you can help me teach them. And maybe be a coach. And we're happy,"

"Vivid detail. Seriously, three kids?"

"I want kids,"

"But three?"

"I could make it more."

"Oh god, no. I can't even deal with one," I laughed and leaned my head further into his chest.

"I can't thank you enough for doing this, Jason. It means so much to me,"

"Anything to make you happy. You know what they say, a happy wife is a happy life,"

"Sound weird. We aren't married yet," Yet. My name is going to change to Summers. I pulled my phone out of my puffy jacket and took a picture of Jason and I, in the same position.

Grey22: I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend right now. Because of our baby's birthday party last month, we didn't get to celebrate Valentine's Day but he showed up at school and took me out for the day and the night. Our first date place and the same events. Jason, I love you so much, thank you for doing this for me. @summers22

"I love you too," he whispered as he crutched himself to the tent with me in his footsteps.

Stepping into the tent, I froze. "Is it too much?" Jason asked, sitting on the air mattress. I covered my mouth with my hands, shocked. In the tent, flowers, lots of them, blankets, pillows, clothes, lights, battery operated candles, chocolates. All over the place.

"This is... Jason," I smiled, wiping the single tear that slipped.

"This is amazing. You're amazing," I wiped more tears away and sat on the air mattress. Jason set his crutches next to the bed and climbed in, still in his large jacket.

"Sleepover?" I asked.

"Sleepover. And sleepovers are fun, right? I may not be able to walk but.... who says I need to walk," I blushed crimson red. Aren't I the most luckiest girl in the world? Happy late Valentine's Day to me.
