For the first part of the chapter, listen to the song Next Contestant by Nickelback:))

Jason's POV

"So this is what us guys do at clubs. Just sit and watch our girls on the dance floor being damn body guards to them," Nick said.

"Yup," I said as I watched Talia and Amber dance together with Christina in the middle of them. I eyed every guy on the dance floor and watched as their eyes maneuvered to the girls in the middle of the dance floor. Out of all the girls in this club, Talia, Amber and Christina are the youngest and the most vulnerable. They're drunk and having fun. Perfect time for guys to use them.

"Summers, ninety degrees to your right," Nick said, hitting my arm. Oh hell no. I watched the guy in the corner casually walked over to the girls with two drinks in his hands probably ready to give to the girls. At least two of the girls. Amber and Talia's dresses are short. Shorter than I would've liked. Do I like Talia in short dresses? Hell yes. But not when other guys are around. The only people who are allowed to see her in short dresses like that are my friends. Anybody else, they're dead.

I watched as Talia smiled and gave the drink the guy gave her to Amber. He said something, she shook her head. He smiled and she frowned. He laughed and she kept a straight face. He nodded his head and she shook hers. His eyes wandered her figure but hers went right to me. "Gotta go save my girl,"

"Beat the bastard up," nick said. I rolled my eyes and walked onto the dance floor.

"Now, I know you didn't just put your filthy hands on my girl," I said as I approached Talia. The guy smiled and kept his hand on her arm.

"I would suggest you take your hand off my girlfriend and leave her and her friends alone and go back to your corner." Unfortunately, this is the fifth time this happened tonight and the night is just getting started. But nobody put their hand on her before.

"She didn't say she had a boy toy,"

"Really? Well, here I am, so, leave. You can look but you can't touch. Actually, you can't look or touch. So, leave,"

"Do you know who I am?"

"Look, man, I don't want any trouble. Just know, if you touch my girl again, you won't be walking out of this club."

"Alright, alright. No trouble,"

By the end of the night, I fought off about ten guys who came up to both Amber and Talia. I agreed to watch over those two while Addison and Nick watched over Christina. She's a party girl, she loves getting drunk and she loves attention. Even if she's with Nick, she'll try and get attention of another guys. Especially when she's drunk.

After the last guy attempted to leave the club with all three of the girls, we agreed to take the party back to the house. The smell of weed and beer couldn't be missed, in fact, I think I had Mrs. Jones call the house a couple times complaining about the smell and the noise. That's what happens when you have a bunch of teenagers on their spring break in a four million dollar house. We get loud.

Nick offered me a puff a couple times, maybe five. As tempting as it is, I can't go back to who I was. "I'm sober, Nick, come on," i sighed as he stuck his hand out again.

"Just one, come on," I shook my head and picked up my cup. If I can't get high, then I can fake drink. Some water or some iced tea in a red solo cup works perfectly fine. Nick knows I handle my alcohol pretty well so he doesn't suspect anything of it. Only if I get up to six cups and I don't feel anything, then he'll get suspicious.

The girls jumped in and out of the pool, pushing each other in the water and swimming around. Adelaide, however, sat inside the house with the doors closed. The smell gets to her and she can't really be exposed to much these days. Nine months pregnant and all.

"This makes up for all the parties I haven't gone to this year at school," Talia smiled, sitting next to me on the bench. She picked up her cup and chugged the whole thing down, something I've never seen Talia do before.

"This makes up for all the times I missed parties because of Jackson," Amber said, chugging her cup. Christina just shrugged and chugged her cup down as well.

"Oh, I love this song. Babe, dance with me," Talia said, hitting her hand on my thigh.

"Alright, only one dance," she smiled and pulled me up and walked over to the patio away from the others. She put her hands on my waist and smiled at me. Her drunken smile. She's still breathtakingly beautiful, even when her makeup is smeared all over he face and her hair is soaking wet. Each time I look at her, I forget my whole past and just see her and I. Every time I see her smile, I remember why I fell in love with her.

"I don't feel so good," she whispered, holding her hand over her mouth. I pushed her towards the bushes and held her hair back as she emptied her stomach with the alcohol she drank. I rubbed her back lightly as she gagged and emptied more.

"Better?" I asked as she wiped her mouth with her towel. She nodded and moved her hair to the other side of her neck.

"Why don't we go to bed, yeah?" She nodded and carried her towel in her arms. I grabbed her shoes that sat on the chair next to her and carried them with me as I followed Talia through the side door.

"Can you stay with me tonight?" Talia asked.

"Not tonight, baby. I'll sleep on the couch tonight. You need to rest from tonight," she nodded and opened the bedroom door, walked to the bed and plopped onto the bed. I laughed and opened the drawer with her pajamas in it.

I smiled as Talia's soft breaths came out of her mouth as I leaned over to kiss her forehead. I propped her pillow up and moved the garbage can from the corner of the room to next to the bed just in case she needs it during the night. I grabbed the two pillows from my side of the bed and put them on the floor and grabbed the extra blanket from the closet.

"I'll see you in the morning, baby. I'll have breakfast ready for you," I whispered, laying down on the floor. I heard her groan slightly and then the bed shifted and noise stopped.
