It's been a month since Luke has been here and I started to have a crush on him. I'm not going to tell him though because I know he likes Arzaylea. He told me. I can't tell him I like him or he will reject me so I won't tell him.
Michael has been telling us updates of what has been happening in Troet and the only reason why FBI isn't ready to get a hold of John is because they don't have enough evidence to put John in prison and everyone in Troet is terrified of him. Luke has ignored the thought about his mother being tortured and has been walking out when Michael calls.
"Guess what?" Luke asked me one day while walking to school. I looked at him and thought about a clever answer but I couldn't.
"What?" I asked.
"You're no fun," he frowned but continued."I'm going to ask Arzaylea out. But I have no idea how to do that. We don't do that in Troet."
"Well.." I was about to say but paused. I was never asked so I don't really know how to answer that."Just say you like her and ask her out on a date," I finished. Luke looked confused.
"What's a date?" he asked.
"It's where two people go somewhere and talk. It's a way to get to know someone. After awhile you ask her to be your girlfriend," I explained. He nodded but still looked confused. "And before you ask, a girlfriend is a friend that you kiss and hug. Kind of like a best friend but more," I added before he could ask what a girlfriend was. He nodded again.
When we walked in, Arzaylea pulled him away from me and dragged him to who know where. I walked to my locker. I looked to my side and saw my ex-best friend, April looking at me. She walked over.
"Hey Andy," she greeted. I gave her a small smile.
"What do you want?" I asked, trying to sound nice but it came out cold anyways. What do you expect? She ditched me to hang out with the meanest girl in the school.
"Can we be friends again? I realized Arzaylea isn't that much of a friend now," she answered. I wasn't shocked about this because it was the truth. Once upon a time Arzaylea and I use to be friends. I liked this one guy name Hunter and I told her. The next day I saw them kissing. I knew I couldn't trust her after that.
"You ditched me," I reminded her.
"I know! And I'm sorry! I just want to apologize and hopefully start over," she reasoned. I thought about it.
"Fine... But you have to earn my trust," I told her and she nodded.
"I need to know what Luke is hiding!" Arzaylea shouted. I was over for a sleepover with her. I shrugged.
"Why? You already have him under your spell," I pointed out.
"Because. If there's something he is hiding. It's probably good," she answered. Then her face lightens up and she turned to me. "You have to be friends with farmer girl again!" she commanded.
"No way Andy will want to be friends with me after what I did!" I shouted.
"Come on, April! Think about it! If farmer girl trust you enough she will tell you everything about Luke!" Arzaylea reasoned. I sighed. There's no use in arguing with her.
"Fine. I'll do it."
