17. Chapter 16

"Are you almost ready?" Luke asked as he poked his head inside the bathroom. We were going on our first date and Luke has been waiting for me to get ready for hours. It's kind of weird dating a guy that is living in the house you live in even for a little while but my mom was okay with it and said she knew it was going to happen all along. I put some lipstick on and walked out. I was just in a black skirt and a purple top. Nothing fancy.

"I'm ready," I said as I walked out. Luke looked at me in awe. I don't think I have ever felt this nervous to go on a date. With Hunter, it was nice and calm but with Luke, I'm nervous about what to say and do. I grabbed the keys and we left. I decided to pick the place since Luke doesn't know where to go. I also have to drive because he doesn't have a license.

"So.... Where are we going?" Luke asked as I started to back out. I smirked.

"It's a surprise!" I answered. He frowned and I giggled. "I think you will like it," I added.

"Where are we?" Luke asked as I pulled into a bowling place. I loved to bowl. It was the only sport I could really play after soccer.

"It's a sport called bowling. You roll a ball and try to knock down pins," I explained. Luke gave me a weird. "You will love it. I promise," I added and we walked in. I paid for everything and we got settled. I went first to show Luke how it was done. When it was Luke's turn....Well.... He didn't do so well.

At the end of the game, Luke was terribly beaten. We got back into the car and I drove to the next place I wanted to take him before we went back home. I took him to my favorite place to eat, The Hunt. It had a lot of things that I know Luke will enjoy. My dad used to take me here all the time.

"This is so good! I had an amazing time. Thank you," Luke said as we finished our dinner. I had ended up ordering a piece of chocolate cake for Luke and me to share.

"You don't have to thank me. I enjoyed it too," I replied. Luke leaned in and we shared a passionate kiss. I kissed Hunter a few times but with Luke. I felt something different. With Luke, I felt like I can be myself and no one else. That he doesn't care if I'm rich or poor. Beautiful or ugly. He likes me for me. With Hunter. I felt like I was trying to make myself like him. Like I was being someone else to get him to like me. So I made up my mind about something. To forget that I ever dated Hunter and pretend that Luke is my first boyfriend. My first kiss.

"I have to tell you something and I know I will sound crazy when I do say it," Luke said as he pulled away. I looked into his eyes.

"Go ahead. I wouldn't think you were crazy," I answered. Luke took a deep breath.

"I love you, Andy," he breathed out. I just smiled widely at him. I realized there and then that I loved him too. All those times where I was trying to block my feelings for him, it was only making me love him more.

"I love you too, Luke," I answered. We kissed so more and had our cake. Then I took both of us home where we watched a movie with mom and London.
